  2. Have any pictures of the other trucks? i am always interested in seeing "vintage" moving vans,as my dad was leased to NAVL for over thirty years, and me to Atlas for 22............................................Mark
  3. I agree 100% Ernie! just was'nt sure if any of the younger guys knew what REALLY happened between Mack and Brockway! damn shame if you ask me,i used to have a brochure that Mack put out to explain why they shut down Brockway,it was alot of B.S. about not competing for the same market, personally i think they could have co-existed,and made a killing in the vocational truck market, especially after most everyone agreed Brockway was "The most rugged truck in the world"...................Mark
  4. I could still use one of them now!...................pretty good language barrier between Jersey and southwest Virginia!...............Mark aka (maawwwwk)
  5. Found this over at the Brockway site, thought some of you would enjoy seeing it. From what i could gather, this was Brockways show truck (circa 1974) i found it interesting because of the unique paint scheme, and the fact that the lower fenders, and headlight surrounds are both chromed! i often wonder what happens to trucks like this after their "show duty" is over, especially since in 74' Brockway was just a few years from going under.......................Mark
  6. The truck looks to be in nice shape! enjoyed seeing the IH pictures as well, always had a "soft-spot" for emeryvilles,my dad drove one for many years, and he always told me they were a hell of a good truck!...............................Mark
  7. Allthough not the same Crackerbox in question,i found this picture on Hanks of a nice Crackerbox i used to see pretty regularly at Secondi Bros. truckstop in Milford,CT,,,,,,,,,prolly been 10 or more years since i last saw it,but it was way too nice for the scrapile (at least at the time)...........................Mark
  8. Looks like a bastardized version of a 1950 Chevy C.O.E's retarded cousin!..........................................Mark
  9. Trent,i too am sorry for your loss, and i know just what its like,i miss my father and grandfather everyday, they were my role models as well. Between the two of them they taught me all i know about the trucking business (which was about half of what they knew!) i enjoyed reading about your grandad, the WWII era truly was "America's Greatest Generation" in my opinion.........................................Mark
  10. Vin,glad you have taken Uncle Rob's advice,i'm sure you'll fit in on here just fine, just remember we're all "big boys" and can only stand to hear so much about your beloved U-models.................personally,i don't have a U-model list, but found a picture of the next best thing.......................................Mark
  11. I saw this truck (the Crackerbox) sitting in a wide spot on the eastbound side of the PA Pike, just west of somerset several times over a span of 5/years,there was a house nearby,so it makes sense...............i havent seen the truck in a few years now that i think of it,but i did talk to the driver/owner on several different occasions, usually at one of the service plazas...............................Mark
  12. ENEMA craft ay! well i ain't gonna argue with that kinda logic!...........................have a good easter my friend!...........................Mark
  13. LMAO! i agree! believe it or not,my mom has boycotted "Aunt Jemima" products for years, ever since they changed their logo, she says the product is just not the same, and will NOT allow anything with the "new" logo in her pantry!..........................Mark
  14. LMAO!...........................Mark
  15. As Underdog said.as long as the cam has been done, you should be good to go,my 01' 460 CX has been just about flawless, and is fast approaching 1 million miles...........................Mark
  16. Even less in Jersey, the average argument starts in less than 1.7 seconds..................................Mark
  17. Pretty much the same here, only problem is i gotta leave early, start on 11 stops in Jersey,Long Island, and eastern PA tommorow..................................Mark
  18. Hydro-pneumatic clutch control? sounds fancy!............................................Mark
  19. Found this abomination while looking for a picture of a specific LT-Mack.............what looks to be a perfectly useable LT,but with one noted (major) problem,it has (god forbid) a peterbilt front clip! hood,fenders,headlights.etc. My question would be,why would anyone do this?...............................Mark
  20. Randy, your database needs to be updated, anyone can plainly see that this craft is from the U-ranus galaxy-Vincealon-12 to be specific, they can always be identified by the offset operators cockpit (i said cockpit heh, heh!) this is old technology,as evidenced by the outdated hyper-drive system (seen on trailer two),which is equivalent to a 238 detroit (spaceship-wise).........................Mark
  21. Happy easter to one and all!..................................Mark
  22. I can think of at least 10 fire companies in South Jersey right off the top of my head that use this very same set-up......................................Mark
