  10. My first car was also my current one! i bought a 1970 Chevy C-10 pickup when i was 15,and still own it to this day. 350,4-speed been several different colors over the years,it is currently 1967 Chevelle Marina blue, only thing i have really ever changed/upgraded was a "vintage air" A/C unit, and changed from six lug wheels to five. Still runs/looks great,my wife says she'll prolly bury me in it...................................Mark
  11. I'm about sick to death of hearing about these lazy bastards that thinks the world (and me) owes them a living! and as far as the "government" why the hell would anyone care about what gas, food, etc, costs if you're not paying for it! course we ALL make 2/300,000 bucks a year right? i doubt there are many polititians currently who even know how to pump their own gas,or where to buy it,"i'll just ask my chauffer" or "whats a grocery store?" these people are so out of touch with cold, hard reality, its just not funny anymore! and yet and still, people keep voting them in! bout'time to send some of these damn deadbeats packing! (most of them actually) personally,i think its about time to find someone with a bluecollar background,to run the country, and get us back on track, course that aint ever gonna happen, too many happy with welfare, foodstamps, section 8,free healthcare,to be bothered with finding a job.......Pop always told me,"a man without a job,is just no F**KING good, useless to himself, and his family who depend on him"..................words i live by to this day!.................Mark
  12. Thats a great find! going by the civil defense markings on the truck, it's age,and seeing it was delivered to Lakehurst,NJ could possibly have been assigned to Lakehurst Naval Air Station (where the airship Hindenburg blew-up crashed)..................................Mark
  13. AAA Transport and Mushroom Transport both had B-67's with both standard and concave cabs, same thing with the B-61's those are about the only two companies i remember running both types, but MOST B-67's i've seen were concave cabs......................................Mark

  18. The only reason i remember where it was is because right next door, there was a small used car dealer that had an E-model Mack pickup truck that sat for YEARS with a big NOT FOR SALE AT ANY PRICE,DON'T ASK!!!!!! sign on it................................Mark
  19. LMAO! quite right guys! anyone who has ever had their arm/elbow jammed between the steering wheel and vent window or a B-or R-model while following the steering wheel back around will surely appreacieate what "thumbs up" is all about!........................................Mark
  20. Tom,i used to have a friend with a frame/suspension shop that has since closed in South Jersey,he did the frame on my dads peterbilt, all inclusive (with the exception of paint/bodywork) for right around 2 grand, course you have to remember this has been several years ago too! but i think that would be right in the ballpark, depending on how much labor, and cost of labor factored in.......................................Mark
  21. Just my opinion, but i personally would'nt put a Lund or any other type visor on a B-model,just looking for problems with rust, fit etc. and to my eye they just don't look right, again'just my two cents.........................Mark
  22. Pretty sure that thing was at (or near) the intersections of route 30 and 41 at Gap,PA i believe it was a Buffalo Springfield, used to run Lancaster Co. PA pretty regularly when i was a household mover........................................Mark
  23. We were brought up with "LAVA" hand soap, had the grit in it,so it never lost traction while in your mouth.............course, i come from a long line of masters of profanity,so it should come as no suprize that i spent a lot of time with soap in my mouth!...............................Mark
  24. Couple of oddly named towns in Lancaster county PA, Blue Ball, Intercourse, and Bird in Hand come to mind......................................Mark
  25. Prolly showing my age,and i DO appreacieate modern power steering, but i always thought (still do now) that you get a better "feel" of the road with manual steering, and i also think EVERYONE who wants to drive a truck should learn to back-up with manual steering, would sure eliminate a lot of the "30 day driving school wonders" i share the road with now!...............Mark
