  1. LMAO! or backwards "tard" style?......................................Mark
  2. Welcome aboard! have been reading up on your company/products,seems you guys have your proverbial "shit together" good quality American made product, built by American hands! and its always nice to see a vendor actively participate/help support the old truck hobby! i do have a quick question reguarding frame rails,is the rear "taper" or ramp something you can accomplish?..........................................Mark
  3. Rob i'd be interested in hats should you have some made, only trouble is,and i don't know if i'm explaining it correctly,i dont like the "new style" low profile hats (make any sense?) i like the old style baseball type caps........................Mark
  4. Pawel, its always on ebay,i also have had good results with Tamiya masking tape, also available on ebay.................................Mark
  5. Looks good! are you using spray cans for painting? personally i prefer an airbrush you can get much lighter coats, without the buildup between coats. On separation lines as small as these,i have found using "Pactra" brand pintriping tape very usefull, comes in many colors, widths, etc. and it adheres well to small details, such as rivets, curves etc...............Mark
  6. I cant really fault this douche for checkin' that out,it is a pretty nice can!.................................Mark
  7. New truck looks good Ernie! i still think the blue one would look good down here! how are you gonna paint the R-model? something like it is now? i like everything about it except the dual headlights, just not used to seeing them, looks odd to me. Got much snow up there this year? i havent been through jersey in a while..............................Mark
  8. Australian Valueliner/Metroliner?....................................................Mark
  9. Truck looks good!,personally i don't see any problem with recovering most (or more) of what you have in it. Only trouble these days is people just dont have the disposable income they once had for hobby trucks ya know? i just wish i had the TIME to do something truckwise myself! kinda like to build something before i get too old/feeble to drive it! still got my heart set on a western R-model,kinda need something with a sleeper/room for my wife and boy if they should want to go to a show or something with me. They both enjoy the ride/room in my CX,i just dont really want to take a "new" truck to a show, not much point, especially in a sea of petes and KW's LOL!..............................Mark
  10. Would'nt mind having a few of those myself, not crazy about the "new" style Mack logo..............................................Mark
  11. Good looking truck! i always liked that show, thought it was neat that Rockfords father was supposed to be a retired truckdriver..................................Mark
  12. "PEOPLE, its made from PEOPLE"!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!..................................Mark
  13. Yup,just about every car i see on the road with an obama bumper sticker on it is driven by some type douche!.............................Mark
  14. Personally i think 20K is a fair asking price for a piece of Mack history, whens the last time anyone even SAW a W-Model? i thought they were kinda neat, and ahead of their time There is a guy on youtube with a restored sleeper cab W-71 which is a really sharp truck, and if you watch both videos,he says he has turned down $200.000 for the truck! and i just dont see the logic in picking apart something as rare and complete as this one is. My thinking is better restored, even overseas, than in a scrapyard here, just my .02...............................Mark
  15. Nope! cowl is different, mounting brackets and hinges are also different,Superliner hood is also wider than an R-model..........................Mark
  16. Sure seems thataway! LOL!..................................see last post! Mark
  17. Those are Tachographs used to record speed, idle time,MPG, etc. kind of a "black box" the reason there are two makes sense now that i know its in the sleeper tractor, prolly driven by a team at some point, each driver had his own, they use a small paper disc to record each drivers activity daily, and are also a clock, the key being with it is rare,as the drivers would not normally have access to prevent tampering with it................................Mark
  18. Those are Tachographs, used to record speed, idle time,MPG etc. kind of a prehistoric "black box".................................Mark
  19. Dats just what i was thinkin"!.................................................Mark
  20. You found something of some significance here! the sleeper truck is not the run of the mill integral sleeper normally seen, but a factory installed add-on box. Definately worth saving! i cant remember even seeing one in person,so in my opinion this is quite a find! even in rough shape,it is worth restoring as they just dont exist anymore. All the trucks pictured have good useable parts, worth much more to us hobbiests than the junkman!................................................Mark
  21. BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO PAY THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is no "shortage" of drivers, there is a shortage of good, professional drivers however! and at the rate of pay most carriers are paying, and the amount of work, expendature, time away from home, are they not suprized?..............................Mark
  22. I saw a boatload (literally)of ex-roadway Macks,Whites, and Fords up at Port Elizabeth (NJ) about 10 years ago,all had there decals removed, were waiting to be loaded on a ship for export to who knows where. Never really saw any of the U-models around after that, New England Motor freight also had a bunch of U-models which i still see on occaision............Mark
  23. Yup! send one of them Brocks down here Ernie! me and David will get right to work on it! (promise) take it easy,as Rob said just dont get overwhelmed, supposed to be fun right? cant wait to see some pictures of this and the R-model,have you done anything with the blue Brockway at all? ex navy? i like that one! i dont EVER see a Brockway around here, even at the truck shows,i'm sure some of them made it south, just dont know where they are. I always liked the 361-360 series best with the white/autocar style cab on them best, coulda bought one years ago cheap, still kickin myself in the ass for that!.................................Mark
  24. That may only be a 12,000 pound steer axle too! that much weight could put too much un-do stress on the king pins, shocks, springs etc, could cause premature failure!...............Mark
  25. DAMN! now thats quite the caboose right there! hard choice what to look at first! but then again i have seen a Mack or two in my day!...............................Mark
