  2. MikeD,here's Highpoints DM before it was converted into a wrecker..............................Mark
  3. Highpoint (from what I understand) had a HUGE problem with insurance fraud and some "iffy" business practices, resulting in some jail time for some, and a disbandment of the towing business. I don't know all the particulars and don't want to spread any mis-information,but that's what I've been told. Most all the trucks have been for sale on the Truck-Paper/Truck Trader in the past few years...............................Mark
  4. I knew there was at least one of the Boulder Dam Macks left that was restored, this looks like the same one,it was in WOT a few years back?.........................Mark

  11. I never knew a sleeper version of that Dodge was even made! never saw one before. My local volunteer fire department in Jersey had a 54 Dodge fire engine (the chiefs truck) with a 392? Hemi in it..................................Mark

  13. Jim,i'm happy to be blessed with a photographic memory (at least for trucks and boobies) I can remember those type details and specifics on things I've seen 30-40 years ago,but would be hard pressed to tell you what I had for dinner last night,or what day of the week it is (sometimes)! I am still amazed at just how many people in the world love trucks(and boobies to a lesser extent) as much as I do! until BMT,i had no idea such people (other than me) even existed! if I polled today's steering wheel holders, maybe one in a hundred might know what a B-Model or Diamond T even is,let alone remember the "old" Overdrive magazine, two sticks? what? bias ply tires? huh? paper maps? the hell you say?! one of the many reasons I'm so grateful for BMT and all the friends I've met along the way!.............................................Mark
  14. Saw something this morning you Chicago guys should be on the look out for! what I consider one of the best looking women I've ever seen driving a truck! I picked up in Gurnee,IL this morning, and was coming back towards the city on 294,when what pulls up next to me but a young looking Dolly Parton driving a Mack! I know,i know,no pictures or it didn't happen (way too much traffic to fool with phone/camera),but this girl was HOT!!!!! red and white RD single axle, looked like it may have been just painted, white two hole wheels, plastic fenders over the drives, pulling a crappy looking steel older model black 3 axle demolition dump.with abbonzio? abbonizio ? contractor rentals on it (black and yellow signs)maybe 30-35 years old, wearing a black tank top.tight-ass jeans with dagger fingernails (pink) and cowboy boots,if I had to guess, maybe something in the neighborhood of 38 DD's!!!!! I about burnt the old girl up trying to catch up for another look! I was next to her up to the 294/94 split, but considered going her way for just one more look!...............................Mark

  24. I'm right there with you on the AT-64 Al,i liked those too, always thought they were sharp! a local shyster in South Jersey(the same crook I drove the 3408-KW for) bought a matched pair, they were some of the last trucks ever built with 5X4 trans. in them, they were 3406 B-Model Cats 4 and a quarter I think? tri-tone blue with red frames,i was told by one of the drivers, they would do every bit of 100 mph, grossing 78,000! how true that is I don't know! we all know truck drivers never lie! Lol!..................................Mark
  25. Ernie,i remember the kind you're talking about! REAL short hood and wheelbase? didn't ESSO or HESS outta Bayonne have some of them too,was single axles?................................Mark
