  1. Looks to me like the grille surround was still useable? i have an old one that i am thinking of making a shelf out of to put some of my model Macks on.................Mark
  2. I used to do a lot of "hobby" automotive painting in my younger years, but nowadays its damn near immpossible to paint at home without a full vapor recovery system,a downdraft booth,a full ventilator suit, permits, licensing etc.and an act of congress to buy what are now "hazmat" supplies. I neeeded a can of white spray paint once out in california,of course it was behind lock and key,i needed to show I.D. and fill out a form determining WHAT and where i was going to do with it! just absolute bullshit!..................Mark
  3. Thats what i was thinking, dont like the looks of them on this truck......................Mark
  4. $12,500 for this wore out U-model? must be the special "platinum edition"!..........................Mark http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/2555202358.html
  5. $14,500 sounds a littel steep to me,and whats up with the fuel tank steps and brackets? looks a little "hokey" to me.............................Mark http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/cto/2553147821.html
  6. I kinda liked this desciption, very little rust? looks to be more than a "little" to me!..............Mark http://greensboro.cr...2570020436.html

  8. Found couple old pictures thought worthwhile posting..............................Mark
  9. Ernie, i been hearing some rumors that Christie might just be seriously thinking about it! keep our fingers crossed!..............Mark
  10. Holy SH*T! if those are the "good" tires,i wonder what the bad ones look like? i have allways wondered why people think if a truck that says Mack on it,is automatically worth its weight in gold, regardless of condition,or having been beat do death, and not properly cared for. I do understand top asking price for a top shape truck, but this kind of BS is just ridiculous! and P.S. 20 cans of semi-gloss "krylon" does not count as new paint!..........................Mark
  11. Found this picture in the truck trader, and wondered if this might be Killer B's long lost "Yankee" brother?....................Mark
  12. Thats very true, and like most other replies,i would recommend against a triplex behind a "modern" engine, they were just not built to withstand the torque of a higher horsepower, higher revving engine, and think you would be un-happy with the results, allthough i have heard of good results of a duplex/triplex behind a 237 Maxidyne, and its a relatively easy swap into a B-model,but again, just my two cents.........................Mark
  13. I knew i had seen this set-up before as well,not in a truck but a stationary engine/generator..................................Mark
  14. Some nice pictures indeed! but i have decided after seeing this picture, i will be leaving on the very next available flight for italy!................................Mark
  15. Nice pictures! there was a company in Jersey that used to have macks that looked a lot like yours, same colors etc. Apgar Brothers, they hauled a lot of vinegar, food products,i dont know if there even still in business, but they always ran some sharp looking equipment................Mark
  16. Thats a good un'! shes gotta be good as me with two sticks, cause' it sure looks like she might not be able to reach the clutch!.........................Mark
  17. Little johnny sure gets around! best one i know goes like this, little johnny is at school learning about health/human anatomy,so the teacher begins the lesson on male anatomy by making a drawing on the blackboard,"can anyone tell the class what this is called" asked the teacher,of course little johnny raises his hand immeadiately, and the teacher scans the room for ANYONE else willing to answer the question, but finding no other hands in the air,she finally says "ok johnny, tell me what you know about this picture" "why thats easy, says johnny, its a penis,my dad has TWO of them"! sorry johnny, thats quite impossible!,says teacher,a man only has ONE penis...NO,NO i'm sure my dad has TWO,i know,i have seen them! he has one small one that he uses to go to the bathroom, and then the LARGER one he uses to brush the babysitters teeth with, when mommy works late!..................Mark
  18. I said it before,an i'll say it again! i give you guys all the credit in the world! there is NO WAY i would pull a flatbed, stepdeck, lowboy, curtainside,or any of that type foolishness! but i know how you guys think, give me multiple stops,14-15 thousand pounds, and a good ol' drybox and i'm a happy man! course thats coming from an ex-bedbugger/electronics hauler, your right, got to be "cut-out"for your job thats for sure, aint nobody waiting inline to do my job either!!!!!............................Mark
  19. I like the B-81 lowboy with the WWII era Sherman M-4 tank,thats quite a picture!........................Mark
  20. Holy Mackeral! wonder how long thats been loose,to "egg" that bolthole out like that? that surely did'nt happen overnight!...............Mark
  21. AAAAHHHH! the flatbeddin' life! gotta love it!................Mark
  22. There are a few "optomistic" prices on there for sure! but i gotta say i REALLY like that B-81SX,that is one sharp truck! i have always liked the "new england" style two tone paintjobs and pinstripes. And that blue R-model is a nice looking truck too,i have been past their yard in Blairstown (all Macks) and it looks as if they keep their trucks in first class shape! there are still quite a few oldtime holdouts in Jersey that will run nothing but Macks!.....................Mark
  23. Hey Ernie,is this the same guy from out on the island somewhere? if it is,i've seen some of his trucks in wheels of time,he has a whole FLEET of Brockways! they are all painted real bright colors,i think he has a cabover thats yellow and purple! and a jolly green giant mixer?....................................Mark
  24. Yup,the picture of my CX is also on my gallery, feel free to look it over, you can pick the ones you like, and re-size no?.........................Mark
  25. Ernie,i sure agree with sending a boy to do a mans job! LOL! i remember when i was a kid, there was a local south jersey guy who ran a "modified" at our local dirt track, 196? valiant with a slant 6 for power, wierdest sounding engine i ever heard! but he was ALWAYS in the top 5-10! do gotta admit,427 is pretty much junk!.....................Mark
