  9. Indeed our beloved country is in a sad state of affairs, been a long time coming, problem is the mainstream liberals dont seem to care,or give a shit!. I dare anyone to find something made in this country entirely from 100% made,manufactured,U.S. sourced raw materials, start to finish, its damn near immpossible! even the most small, everyday item, give it a try and see what you come up with! before i get hammered with replies about not knowing what i'm talking about, here are some examples of things people are under the the immpession are 100% percent American Made.............. Harley-Davidson Motorcycles- Nope! parts sourced from japan, korea, indonisia Mack trucks- Nope! korean steel,ABS plastic (japan,thailand)-japanese electronics-indian textiles (carpet, upohlstery)canadian framerails, korean tires, lighting equipment (japan, korea) information labels, stickers etc. (indonisia) list goes on and on...... Airstream travel trailers- nope! same as above..... Just try and find a mid-priced bicycle, toy, clothing, tool, electronic appliance, radio,TV,automobile MADE IN THIS COUNTRY! from American resources, good luck! makes me mad that so many people are un-concerned with this, long as we have our "i-pads" and "smart phones" who really cares where it comes from? well,i do for one,and i'm sure many others feel the same way,but we are in the minority, getting more so each day, bout time for a change (doing and thinking)..sorry for the rant!...................Mark
  10. I have called about those two Macks sitting on the trailer, never can seem to get anyone to answer the phone! they have been sitting there at least 2 years that i know of,i go by there 1-2 times a month on my way from home to I-40 westbound. At one time there was another B-model sitting further back in the yard, but with the bushes, trees etc. i cant tell if its even still there or not,i tried to stop and have a look, but there is really no place to pull over with a truck there..............Mark
  11. Some nice pictures Tom! wish a coulda made it,but i did'nt get in time enough to load friday,so i had to make my pickups yesterday,i have to make sure they are loaded in the correct order, sometimes it takes awhile! especially when the people doing the loading are getting paid time and a half for being there on saturday! but i have made myself a promise,i'm gonna try and make some more shows this coming year,...................Mark
  12. Kinda like the B school bus myself, never seen one in person, but i did see a civil defense bus/mobile command center based on a B-model chassis when i was a kid, seems to me it was ex-military surplus?......Mark

  14. It was just slightly north of Scranton,on the west side of 81,there is a KW dealer there now in the same general area, with a much bigger building,if memory serves, i think the name of the town is Dunnmore?............Mark
  15. Years ago there was a Brockway dealer in Scranton,PA (Key truck & equip.i think) they had a Brockway school bus sitting out back of their lot, real nice shape from what i could see off I-81,used to see it just about everyday on my regular trip to Binghampton...............Mark

  21. I fully agree! i ran my Grandfathers R-685 237/5 speed pulling 33/40,000 lbs apples, peaches routinely for years, backhauled empty glass bottles or cardboard boxes, not the fastest combo on the road, but like the Maxidyne237 says, slow and steady wins the race! prolly the most dependable combo, least problematic truck i ever drove, given a different set of circumstances,i'd run one today in a heartbeat, especially given the current price of fuel!.................Mark
  22. PHOTOGENIC PROOF???? my my!.......A+ for proper use of the english language! LOL!...........Mark

  25. Thad,i had a cousin in the wrecker business for about 50 years,he traded his trucks at 3 years, because of the excessive PTO use,the "hard on the truck" nature of the business, but he kept such nice care of his trucks (kept inside),he always had standing offers on the used ones.I know of a few he sold for more than he paid initially! The next user sometimes got another 10-20 years out of the trucks as well. My cousin always up-graded to the newest/fanciest technology available, the highest towing capacity etc. He had all Macks, with 2 exceptions, a peterbilt, and a ex-Navy heavy duty Oshkosh, both are still being used by their current owners......Mark
