  1. GOOD EYE! sure enough, theres a Superliner in the background, and what looks to bs a "U" or "DM" cab on the ground...............Mark
  2. Pawel, what you are seeing is called a "luberfiner" it is a remote mounted oil-filtering device. It contains a replaceable filter cartridge, much like a modern "spin-on" filter commonly used today. And was used before spin-on filters were widely used by truck/engine manufacturers...hope this is of some help,Mark
  3. Anyone knows this is of course the SUPER RARE,ONE YEAR ONLY, "M"/B-67,naturally aspirated 665-EZNDTA_5@7/turbo-charged,inline V-6 overhead cam. with the 24.5 speed multi-plex trans.Worth at LEAST $100.000! shame on you "Mack enthusiasts" for not picking up on that right away!it was only used for changing lightbulbs in street lights( by a non-smoking,little old lady).......................
  4. Lawyer-ific? thats a good one! hafta add that one to my vocabulary! as in "chicken sammich may contain beaks/feet","your results may differ","some assembly required" etc.??LOL!..........Mark
  5. What'ya think about the ghetto patch job on the front of the hood???? maybe the same person describing the "R-700" wrecker? LOL!..........Mark
  6. Smokeless????????
  7. When i was doing multiple truck tours for Clark,we had a guy who had full fenders on his W-900 KW,we were backing into the performing arts center in Nashville (very steep inside dock) and i said maybe you want me to spot your trailer,as i think you will mess up your fenders? his reply was "mind your business sonny, you drive your truck,i'll drive mine"! so,i says OK,and walk away...starts backing in,bottoms out on the hump,WHAM!!!! snapped both fenders in-two! he had'nt moved the tandems forward on the trailer either,so he tore the sand shoes off the landing gear as well! professional at work!........Mark
  8. R-700 eh? 350 HP? i think this would make a decent hobby truck,if it could be had cheap,it needs a LOT of work! cab is shot, wrecker body, spools are mis-wound,tires,replace ghetto bumper, paint, bodywork? best thing i saw was a pretty nice towing light bar in the body-box! but nowadays a "sling" wrecker is basically useless for commercial towing..........Mark
  9. Thats a good one Ernie! LOL!......Mark
  10. Rob,heres a link to Hanks,a page with pictures of droms in just about every configueration possible,a few converted for living space as a reference point..................Mark http://hankstruckpictures.com/martin_phippard_droms.htm
  11. I'm with you on that! last thing i want to do when i get home is go somewhere! i kinda feel bad for my wife/boy,its a treat for them to "go out to eat" i hate going out! i'm just as happy with a fried baloney sammich W/L,T,M on my deck with a good cold beer, then to go out someplace! i have'nt really taken any kind of vacation in 7-8 years,so i know what you mean............Mark
  12. Tom, Boyle's out of Billerica,MA (Boston) and they do primarily haul explosives..........Mark
  13. Rob,you might try this link to Kentucky Trailer Inc. they custom build trailers and truck bodies, catering to the moving and storage industry,in my opinion these are the best moving vans available,my background is moving/storage and we always used them almost exclusively. We had several owner/operators that had small droms, built by Kentucky they gave good service and were very well built. Hope this is of some help!........Mark http://www.kytrailer.com/home
  14. Hey Mike, check out this website,i have personally dealt with this vendor for seats and parts over the years, real good guys, that know their S*IT, they still carry the Bostrom "Viking" T-bar seats in low profile, not the cheapest guys around mind you,but best in knowledge and stock (in my opinion) if you don't mind dealing with "Jersey Yankees" LOL..............Mark http://www.suburbanseats.com/p-bostrom_seats-viking_LP_truck_seat.aspx?catid=15
  15. I think thats why i've been "allowed" to increase my toy collection over the years! my wife knows even when i'm on the road,i'm either driving,un-loading,doing paperwork,or sleeping! exciting life i lead eh? LOL!........Mark
  16. I keep having nightmares about those "American Picker" guys finding my stuff, and my wife saying " $100.00 bucks and its all yours" LOL! hey, this guy musta liked trucks a little!!!!!....what are they? peterbilts??
  17. Guess i'm lucky in the Mack "shit" respect! i have a whole room devoted to my collection of trucks/trucking memorabilia! My wife/son gave me the same R-model Tanker for Christmas,i also have somewhere in the neighborhood of 1200 Macks, and various other trucks i've been collecting for years, everything from AC bulldogs up to modern Granites and MR's..just wish i had the time to put up enough shelves to display them all, along with some vintage advertizing.I dont focus on any particular scale or maker, just as long as its a Mack! (or Brockway) First Gear,Matchbox,Corgi,Tootsietoy, etc. i still have the biggest majority of my toys from childhood awaiting restoration,Tonka,Buddy L,etc. my Boy's gonna be a wealthy man when i kick! LOL!...........Mark
  18. Thats a good one! my ALLTIME favorite movie is "The Searchers" with John Wayne,Mrs. Vision says she could turn off the sound, and i could narrate, seen it so many times!

  20. I dunno, was kinda wondering about that myself!
  21. Yup! Bostrom T bar,spring seat,found in many different makes of trucks,but easily adapted to a B-model cab..........Mark
  22. While on the road, should the sheep blow-out a replacement can be had at the local "road-pro" store..............
  23. LMAO! i was thinking the same thing! (that is one sharp truck though!) maybe we can shame Randy into getting the "real" KillerB up to snuff?????
  24. Not real crazy about blondes myself, but it is nice to see a good lookin' woman driving a REAL nice lookin' Mack! i'm glad to see the media gave some coverage to the show! seems nowadays anything that makes noise,or burns fuel is usually blackballed by the treehugger media! Anytime the old truck hobby gets some attention,we all win...................Mark
  25. Tom,thats a co-incidence,so did mine, my dads parents still spoke german around the house when they did'nt want us kids to know what they were talking about!....Mark
