  7. Lookin good! i guess no luck with fenders yet? i would'nt think up your way they'd be so hard to find, but i guess like everything else, parts are getting scarse!........Mark
  8. I read today that a group of muslims are upset at reports that osama bin laden was "un-armed" when the evil U.S. Sealteam shot the bastard! To quote Clint Eastwood in the movie Unforgiven,"The S.O.B shoulda'armed himself" this kinda B.S. really bothers me! i am about sick and damn tired of people running down our country! if it bothers you that bad,go the hell back where you came from! I guess all the "un-armed" civillians killed on 9/11 dont count? innocent people going about their daily routine WORKING to support themselves and families? personally,i'd like to shake hands with the individual that dropped the hammer on this evil c**ksucker, and thank him for a job well done! i appologize in advance if i "offended" anyone, just sick and tired of hearing what a terrible place, how bad everyone has it here, and how much everyone hates the U.S.........................Mark
  9. Great pictures Trent! thanks for posting them! i really wish i was in a position to buy this one,as it would be a great starting point for my "project" and i do believe it is well worth the asking price, just a little too rich for my budget LOL! i agree, there are some neat things about the interior, but i also prefer the later plus 3 cab ( i'm not a little guy!) also neat to see the "fuzzbuster" still sitting on the dash,i have'nt seen one of those in years! looking at those pictures like you said,it looks like someone just parked it 20 years ago and walked away from it,a real "time capsule"..................Mark
  10. Buddy of mine sent me this,i thought i was funny!................Mark
  11. I like this one, especially in light of the recent news!................Mark
  12. Hooray! glad to see this no-good, billygoat lookin' MF/er finally got what he had coming! America owes a great debt of gratitude to our servicemen and women throughout the world. And Randy i hope you and your family can take some consolation in the fact this evil C**K sucker is no longer walking this earth! GOD BLESS AMERICA!.............Mark
  13. Another piece of the puzzle! thanks so much for posting your info! if you have been following any of this,i would eventually like to duplicate this truck as close as possible,so any good pictures (or bad!) are helpful, would also sure like to know the specifics of that paint-job,IE: paint color, brand, types etc.as this is not an easy scheme to "eyeball" LOL!, i'd even like to see the "what was left" pics,a sad end to a great truck for sure! It has been brought to my attention Bob mainly pulled a flatbed, but i saw the truck a few times pulling a dry-box (van) in North Jersey/Eastern,PA early in my career,i wish i had have been able to talk with him about this truck,as it has been my alltime favorite truck i always thought it was tastefully done, allways clean, well maintained and reflected pride of ownership! Thanks again,Mark
  14. Hey Tom nice video! thanks for posting, sure nice to see another one saved from the scrap heap! did you know Port Norris Express is still in business? reason i ask, is they always took pictures of all their trucks when they were new, going back as far as the late 1940's possible they might even have a picture of this one when it was new, or some more info on it,so i thought i'd pass along their contact info............Mark Port Norris Express Co.Inc. 1788 North Ave. Port Norris,NJ 08349 (856) 785-0147
  15. This is a 32" fiberglass "Rest-Rite" brand sleeper, they were a popular option here on the east coast, mainly seen on R-model Macks. If you go to www.oldmacks.com and click on "trucks for sale" there are a few good reference pictures Inside and out of this type sleeper, including the overall dimensions listed as item number OM 369 hope this is of some help...............Mark
  16. Hey Ernie, get this! i had to air-up a trailer tire on the road, pulled up by the shop (truckstop) looked and saw the hose but no chuck, went inside to ask what the deal was, lady said i gotta leave a $50.00 DEPOSIT!!!! to use the chuck ,because it had been stolen so many times!!! what a time indeed!...........Mark
  17. Yup! sure were,my dad and i must have taken 500 pictures that day,i still have most of them........Mark
  18. Rhasler, yes Rob is correct,Bob Eckstein had the truck lettered as "Phantom 309" after the popular country song, its hard to see,but if you look closely you can see the lettering above the Mack letters on the grille..............Mark
  19. Yet another one!.........Mark
  20. Sure sounds like it,maybe, just maybe this is the one!............Mark
  21. LMAO! thats a good one! i especially like the one about gas, can't shut-up long enough to build up the reqiured pressure!.........Mark
  22. I always thought the 3000 White was an "interesting" truck, especially with the sleeper cab, back when i was still a household mover i had a friend who worked for a small family owned company up in north Jersey,Marshalls Moving & storage, they had two of them, plus an IH emeryville and several other classic trucks that worked everyday, they were washed/cleaned almost daily! i can tell you from first-hand experience, the insides of their trucks/trailers were nicer than some of the houses i have been in! a class act to be sure! sadly they went out many years ago,the old man that owned the company did'nt want to keep up with the current technology (cant say as i blame him) just got to be too much to handle............Mark
  23. Not too many things worse than an "un-muffled" woman! unfortunately my wife is blessed with straight-pipes! LOL!......Mark
