  1. That does look sharp,i like it!..do they make much glare at night? might be the picture, but looks really bright to me?............Mark
  2. LMAO! Euclid of Alexandria?!.Thats a good one!!!! I sure got a kick out of that one,as did Mrs.Vision!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Yup this is the Letourneau LCC1 Sno-train,quite an interesting story behind this thing! there used to be a HUGE Letourneau "crash tender" used to tow aircraft that had overshot the runway, somewhere down in texas, sitting beside the highway, this thing was huge! seems to me was powered by a V-16 locomotive engine or something of the sort, pieces of this vehicle still exist in alaska somewhere i believe......I was always partial to MACKS version of the snow train! some big ass trucks right there!......Mark
  4. Heres the one i was talking about,its a "homemade" 1950's Dodge...................Mark
  5. Thats a good one Tom! i have a book about car-carriers,and theres one in there thats looks a lot like this one, except its built on a Dodge cab and chassis. Only thing i can recognize is the ford truck cab in the picture, 48-50?,i'm thinking this may be one of those "homemade" jobs built to haul cars? it sure does look like a sightliner, but to me,it looks to be too "pieced together" to be from the factory.....Mark
  6. I agree with Leon as well,i think this is a Kenworth K-500,built with the DAF-XF cab, since KW went out of the cabover market, these are primarily used for heavy-haul and oil field work overseas.............Mark
  7. Leon,i believe this is one of the new CATERPILLAR branded trucks being built in austrailia, based on an International platform/chassis 9400 series? i think..........Mark
  8. My wife set-up the background for my desktop, did the same thing, mostly revolving pictures of trucks, mine etc....but i finally settled on this one, been on there since christmas.......................Mark
  9. What has been seen,CANNOT be un-seen! LOL!.......Mark
  10. Ernie, thought it was something like that....its WABCO i never seen one, looks like they made some "little" trucks!.Mark
  11. I have a few green LED's under my dash, and behind the top bunk.........look really good!
  12. I don't know.........$6.50 a loaded mile, plus oversize/overweight permits, plus escorts sounds fair to me!......look at alll the dough you made tearin' down that house! you should be rollin'in it!....Mark
  13. MS. was on my "long" list, they can be pretty chickenshit as well! first time i was through MS. when my truck was new,i had the temp.plate on the dash, not the bumper, when i pulled through the scale, got the red light/come inside.....Hillbilly asks me "why aint you plate on yer bumper?" i explained why, was'nt good enough for him, ended up with a $75.00 ticket for "innproerted dissplay of veerhikle identifimication" his spelling (really!) brand new truck (at the time) what a way to start a trip! all because i did'nt want to drill holes in my bumper and had'nt had time to weld up a bracket at home!.........Mark
  14. AH HA! well try not to be so damn rough on this one!LOL!....Mark
  15. I usually dont post anything too serious, but have been keeping up with all the HOS regs.changes that effect those of us involved with trucking. The FMCSA is now taking comments/ideas/thoughts on the proposed HOS rule changes on their website,by mail or even phone calls, NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!!!! the current rules/regs have been on the books since the 1930's and obviously the latest round of changes did no good for us! it just gets worse, more complicated everyday! so if (like me) you're fed-up, do something about it! make you thoughts/ideas known! the job, livelyhood you save may be your own! if you choose to not do or say anything, then quit yer'bitchin and let the government control every move you make! this effects YOUR paycheck,YOUR way of life,YOUR families! so if you dont do something about it who will?............there is a link the the FMCSA website in the topic posted in this forum, and all the pertinant info is included so drivers, what are YOU waiting for?..................Mark
  16. Think i might have passed otherdog hauling a big load on my way home today! did'nt tell me he had branched out into heavyhaul/oversize!............Mark
  17. Found this one, some of you may have seen before, but watch as some crazy hatians try an load a U-600 series single axle dump into a SAILBOAT for transfer to a neighboring island! never seen anything like this!............Mark
  18. I never had any "issues" with the scales in Missouri,i gave it some thought and came up with the best and worst states to deal as far as scales and DOT enforcement (in my opinion) WORST #1 California (chickenshit/ A**holes) #2 Maryland (nazis) #3 Ohio (Uber nazis) #4 Louisiana (anything for a buck) #5 Virginia (anything for a buck to the second power) BEST #1 Texas (good knowledgeable officers) #2 Kentucky (go out of there way to help) #3 Iowa (no-nonsense,good officers) #4 New Jersey (really!) #5 Kansas (they want you to be safe) * Oregon/Wash.state tied for worst! these 2 can be a damn nightmare sometimes!
  19. Superdog,congrats! i sure like to see an F-model saved!......Mark
  20. LMAO!.............Mark
  21. Hey Jeff, seems like this is an ongoing problem,i usually don't recomend a specific shop or service unless i have used them, or really value their opinion, but in this case,me personally i would give these guys a call, see what they recomend,my dad, myself have used them for many years for frame,spring,front-end repairs etc.Dam quality jobs at fair prices!....just a thought!........Mark Circle Spring and alignment 5 Mill street Elmer,NJ 08318 (856) 358-0404
  22. I don't run out there very much anymore either, don't miss it at all! dont miss the "supercoop" at Banning,CA either! seems like they have something against us "easterners"! seems the DOT men just dont apprecieate the NJ/NY "attitude" LOL!..............Mark
  23. Randy, thanks for the asstute obsevation! though from what i've discovered,it appears it has a "Cline-eee-an" aura surrounding it! The colors! the colors! LOL!.......Mark
  24. Rob, i have'nt gotten the specific model designation behind the "RL" yet,the current owner does'nt know, and i have only seen the truck for a few minutes from a distance,it does have "Budds" on the steer axle (flotation tires/wheels) and spokes on the lift/rears,Mack engine,trans.etc......if the weather permits i am going to kook at it this weekend, will make note of the VIN,specs.etc..................Mark
  25. Thought you would! i don't like all that extra BS! nice clean simple truck does it for me! LOL!...............Mark
