LOL! .....................Mark

  3. http://vintage-trucks-of-mexico.lefora.com/2009/10/26/ramirez-heavy-trucks-1957-to-1991/ Thad, you got it! this is a 1978 Ramirez C.O.E,found it completely by accident, thought it was kind of "interesting" to say the least! you can read the whole article about this and others like it at the website posted. I too was only aware of DINA and Ramirez, but never knew a cabover was produced.........Mark
  4. I saw a big freighter like this once up in Duluth,MN. i was looking for my stop in a blinding snowstorm, called the customer for directions,he told me to "turn right at the ship, follow road to the next left etc." i said "i dont see no boat, but i'm right beside a big gray building" he says "dumbass, does the building say milwaukee iron ore on it?" yep! says me! THATS THE SHIP! this thing looked to be about 4-5 blocks long!....i just could'nt see the space between the ship and the dock! i dont remember the ships name, but do remember it was perminantly docked there for people to tour, and it was a fairly old one considerably smaller than some of the ones one the great lakes today.........Mark

  7. You're on the right track, this thing was built and sold in mexico, but its neither a Dodge or a Marmon...Mark
  8. Thats a good guess, but its NOT a Marmon! here are some pictures of 2 Marmon cabovers (same vintage 1978) for comparison, i agree they do look a lot alike, but this particular truck was designed, built and sold in mexico.......Keep tryin'!
  9. I think they were going for a "ghetto" version of the old style White-freightliner 2 piece split bumper, plywoods a whole lot cheaper and much easier to cut into the shape of a bumper! LOL!

  11. Found this one today, never seen one like this before,i CAN tell you its not "photoshopped" and its not home-made,it was built in a neighboring country....any guesses?
  12. Maybe be the best episode yet! when can we expect the DVD box set with extra features to come out?......don't think it was completely wise of Spot to accept a ride from that shady lookin' bastard in the overnite truck!....Mark
  13. I agree, when the ATHS website first started up,i was excited to be a part of it,but not knowing a lot about computers or how they work,i struggled to post things/pictures etc. well after i got a "nasty" e-mail about not knowing all the ins and outs of posting pictures i pretty much stopped participating.I realize its not their fault i'm computer retarded, but believe it could have been handled better, after all i HAVE been a member since 1989! i still enjoy the wheels of time, and the shows too,but i am done with the website!.......Mark
  14. http://www.overdriveretro.com/ I found a neat trucking video, that anyone who is interested in trucking/old trucks should watch! some really neat footage! if you look closely, you will see some classic Macks at work.i spotted an AC,AK,BX,BQ,CJ,EQ,EG etc. plus some pretty obscure other makes and models. I decided not to post it on here, because it's about 20 minutes long,it is also on Youtube, but can only be viewed in segments, here you can see it in it's entirety.Judging from the vehicles featured,i'm guessing it was made pre-WWII 1938/1939......It is called "Singing wheels" just go to the OVERDRIVEretro site, scroll down to retro videos........ENJOY!............Mark
  15. Sure its no Mack, but i like this one! 220 Cummins sounds like a "back-drop" manifold, sounds great! i would sure like to terrorize my neighborhood with this one! LOL!........mark
