  1. Well i guess Canadians would know something about transporting beer vats! great pictures! i always enjoys seeing photos of these heavy haul moves, great deal of skill/planning goes into this,i saw a program on TV some time ago about house moving, very interesting work in my opinion.......Mark
  2. Glad to hear your Mrs. is doing better! i guess i been lucky,my truck has always started easy, even when i was up Duluth,MN sat for 3 days not plugged in,it was somewhere around 1 degree, started right up!......truck safe!........Mark
  3. I agree, having a horse is a lifelong, expensive proposition! the care/upkeep has put more than a few folks in "the poorhouse"! but ya' gotta' do what ya' gotta' do! glad all went well with the trip, had just about enough of driving in the winter weather this year! seems everywhere i've been this winter there has been a blizzard! i'm thinking about selling my truck, going to work for Hatcity, how hard can it be pickin' up a couple stumps here and there? all i'll need is for him to buy me a new Titan, full benefits,$1800/2000 (cash) a week,i'd be willing to put in at LEAST 2 hours a day,1-2 days a week, maybe a little more if room/board (beer) is included, sounds like a deal to me!...................Mark
  4. Well does it?.................
  5. I know of at least one Superliner equipped with a KTA-600 Cummins (though not factory installed) there was a guy in NJ before i moved that built an RW glider kit,1978-79? the donor truck was an extended hood W-900 Kenworth that had been wrecked. If memory serves it was backed by a 14 speed spicer SST trans. sat on kenworth air-ride susp. 3:35 rears,un-fortunately i do not have a picture of the truck,as it was sold, went to california i believe. But i DO remember it was quite a truck! sounded great! pulled a stainless 48' reefer out of the produce terminal at Vineland,NJ...............Mark
  6. Thanks Thad! great info-pictures! i figuered someone on here would know what they were, these are some trucks! have to admit i dont know a great deal about these "heavy hauler" type trucks, but i was always interested in them.I thought i was on the right track guessing KW/DART,second guess would have been Pacific,as i read somewhere they used Kenworth cabs in some trucks,i really like to see the big Pacifics in action hauling logs! they are one hell of a truck!....Thanks again for the reply/info!....................Mark
  7. Found this today, need some heavy hauler expertise, looking at the cab, looks to be mid-fifties KW? my best guess is KW/DART...no further info was provided with the picture, just "big truck" No shit! LOL!...................Mark
  8. Now iffen' you DO find the "bubbin'crude" dont forget about your old pardner! LOL!................Mark
  9. I was working pretty hard to correct the problem at my end, glad Barry got it fixed!.............Mark
  10. Hey bigen welcome back! Barry get you straightened out?........Mark
  11. The "new" Autocar is based on the old White expediter LCF,the company that makes them now has NOTHING to do with Volvo. They are really pushing the LNG powered trucks with all the EPA crap going on now. Mack still has the refuse/recycling market pretty much cornered, but when i was a kid the were THOUSANDS of these Whites hauling trash in NJ!................Mark
  12. Found this thing on the internet today, homemade KW! seems to be a cabover aerodyne, with the cab moved back to the conventional location, gotta' love the homemade "hood" i really like the heater register cover used as a vent in the side of the hood! my only question would be WHY???????........Mark
  13. Maybe this guy? LOL!....................Mark
  14. I THOUGHT i saw that cabin somewhere before! busted off a couple 12 gauge rounds?......................Mark
  15. Thanks guys!i sure appreacieate it!........nother' day nother' dollar! made it through another year, just a "little" older!LOL!..........Mark
  16. AH boy! looks good! maybe just the right touch for my special chili! LOL!...................Mark
  17. I remember seeing an article on specialized autocars back in the 70's,and some of them were built with a low-ride suspension, low ride height,to accomodate "drag loading" of oilfield equipment ie: winch/tail roller/ A-car was a BIG player in the special order /custom market...built some really unique trucks over the years, maybe the case here?................Mark
  18. Bout'time you got to share in some of the misery the rest of us hafta' deal with!(cept' hatcity) LOL! maybe it's time to look into a plow for killer B!..............Mark
  19. Good question! if it was a Detroit,it could be easily explained!...............Mark

  21. Man o man! thats a helluva bumper on that thing! thats a tough looking truck!...............Mark
  22. I forget where i found that picture, but the truck WAS called "toxic shock" or something like that....Mark
  23. Those are neat trucks! its pretty un-usual to see a "libetry edition" superliner over here! i guess where ever people appreaciate quality you will find Macks!....Mark
  24. I usually don't care for trucks that have been "goobered up" with all the extra lights and crap, but thought this was a neat picture,at least it's a Mack!
  25. I second John on this, best to contact the ATHS library, they just did an article in the last "wheels of time" magazine all about Allis-chalmers truck engines, and listed many factory brochures/maunals used for reference specs.,I.D.,different variants etc...................Mark
