  1. Hey mike, yeah i run it pretty hard, but i have been told i'm a real pain in the ass when it comes to the truck! i just believe in taking care of my equipment,i like to keep it looking as good as possible at all times (not easy sometimes) i'm a person that does not believe in taped wires,grease/mud all over, miss-matched/bald tires etc. i pretty much live in it most of the year, and i've been told the inside of my CX is nicer than some peoples houses inside LOL! but yes, it does get dirty!.....Mark
  2. I have delivered the store fixtures for some starbucks, mostly the smaller ones in malls and shopping centers, one i was in, i asked for a "regular" coffee(no flavor, steamed milk, whipped cream, candy, sprinkles, etc.) they did not have any made, but assured me they would be glad to, only take 10-15 minutes, i said no thanks, have never been in another one (as a customer) since $4.00 for a cup of coffee? c'mon!.....................Mark
  3. I always thought the 3000 white was a pretty "interesting" truck, way ahead of its time.....did you guys know there was also a sleeper version? they were pretty popular with moving and storage companies in their day, i used to see quite a few of them when i was growing up here on the east coast, seems most every trucking outfit had them at one time or another!............Mark
  4. Looks like a good time! wish i hada known a little earlier in the week, probly woulda took a ride up, sure was a nice day for it, compared to whats its been around here the past few weeks! had a lot to do this weekend anyway, lot of work on the truck, re-painted the bumper this weekend, picked up the new numbers for the bumper from the sign shop today, all in all came out pretty nice if i say so myself! probly coulda waited a little longer, but was chipped up pretty bad.Had to replace a bad pop-off valve in the primary air tank, adjust the clutch, and some other basic PM type stuff........anyway, thats a nice lookin 67 chevelle! one of my favorite cars!.................Mark
  5. AW come on now! don't blame me! LOL!
  6. DAMN! i've seen it now!!!!!!
  7. I have owned/driven both, they each have their good and bad points. cabovers are notoriously hard riding, very little room/creature comforts not always the best access to everyday things re: checking oil, water etc. pain in the ass to jack-up the cab most times! you dont want to leave ANYTHING loose in the cab when its time for service! or could be goodbye windshield! themos bottle,TV etc. takes some practice to learn to get dressed/undressed while lying down too! generally no access to the luggage compartment from inside the cab, very little storage space. but, there are times even now when i get in a tight spot i sure miss my cabovers manueverability!................Mark

  12. I suppose the year is a personal choice, features, looks etc. but indeed the later E-7's were plagued with cam failures, mine was done under warranty so it was not really a problem for me...but, INSIST on a one piece steel coolant tank, cant stress this enough! i went through 8 plastic tanks before the steel one became available! other than a few minor problems, mine has been a pleasure to run/drive..........Mark
