  20. I do remember reading a story some time ago, where a radio station (somewhere in the mid-west I think?) put away a 1958 Corvette roadster in a "time capsule" (cinder block building) to be opened by the winning ticket holder (if still alive,or his decendants) in the year 2000, sure enough they opened up the "vault" and the car had been almost completely ruined! seemed the bomb shelter had leaked, and the car had been sitting in 3 feet of water for all those years! Wish I could remember where I read the article,Hemmings Motor News maybe?......................................Mark
  21. Radiator cover's not all beat to shit either!..........................................Mark
  22. It always amazed me as a youngster how they would show Will or Sonny driving the truck (with BOTH hands planted firmly on the wheel) and the soundtrack/background would be the sound of changing gears!.............Overdrive Retro re-ran a story from 1974 on the show and interviewed Claude Akins about trucking and truckdrivers..........and as far as I can tell, there are two schools of thought on what ACTUALLY powered their KW! first story says the original W-925 was a VT- 9-0-nuthin' (my Dads favorite description) (903) Cummins in the pilot episode, and when the show was "picked up" the upgraded W-925 a V.I.T was an NTC-350 Cummins...............................Mark
  23. It is truly sad what Mack has become in the past few years,i think the word I'm looking for is "figurehead" of what it once was?.......................................Mark
