  4. Reminds me of a funny story, years ago before we moved,my Mom (Mother Vision) and I were in the local Shop-Rite ordering some lunchmeat, lady behind the counter asked my Mom if she'd like to try a sample of some new cheese, then asked her if her "husband" (me) would like to try a piece too! Mom got a big kick out of that! moral of the story is, either my Mom looks real young,or I look REALLY old! (prolly closer to the truth!) hasn't let me live it down to this day!.............................Mark

  12. I kinda liked these when they were around, same guy I made the trip in the KW for had two of them, a matched pair, both were 425 Cats, and from what I was told some of the last trucks built (of any make) with a factory installed 6X4 trans. This guy Wm. (Billy) Chester was a notorious cheapskate, but didn't mind spending on FANCY equipment! paid his drivers shit, ran them harder then humanly possible, but he did have "pretty" trucks Lol! he never kept any drivers more than a few months! always had 1-2 trucks held-up at Caterpillar with "mechanics leans" against them! real fly by night operator he was! started beating people out of money,"cooking" the books even arranged for a benefit for his son who ran a dirt-modified (as it turns out,he wasn't hurt as advertised, but only broke) got in some hot water behind that too! Ended up going from 15-20 trucks and trailers to ZERO which didn't surprise anyone that knew the guy, real piece of work he was!.......................................Mark Wm.Chester and Son Farms Newfield,NJ

  18. Damn ridiculous! I also grew up on a farm, and let me tell you, when it was peach shipping season we sometimes worked 24 hours a day! peaches have a real limited shelf life, and when they gotta go they gotta go! every delay was money out of our pockets! same with apples, just not as tight a schedule to keep. Many is the day I would load a truck BEFORE going to school, come home, load another one, deliver it,come home and load ANOTHER one before bedtime,do the same thing 6 sometimes 7 days a week! My Grand dad was not real big on being told what to do by anyone, especially the govvmint! hard ass work with little to no reward as it is (farming) but maybe the "gimmies" will think twice when there is no more food! oh,nevermind,we'll just BUY it from somewhere else I guess? (oh I forgot, theres no more money either) Big Daddy Obama Bin Laden sure has a plan don't he?.........................running the country into the ground!..........................Mark
