  1. Lotta life left in that old girl! personally I'd rather change a trunion stand versus a swing-arm on air-ride anyday as long as you are set up to do it.Nice specs on this one too,a little TLC and some $$$$ be good as new!............................Mark
  2. I thought the same thing about the grille, looks like maybe a bugscreen?..................................Mark
  3. Dynamat at both the firewall and the floor probably the best place to start in my opinion.............................................Mark

  5. They were great books! I too remember reading them,i still have one somewhere in my empire! they were great for showing the changes of model years, one I have does not have photo type pictures but detailed drawings of all the different models by maker Ie; GM,Ford,Studebaker etc........................................Mark

  11. I kinda like it as is (colorwise) its unique and I like that combination, would'nt see many others like that for sure! course, I might be a little jaded,as I remember seeing these trucks in South Jersey and they stuck out, cause like my Dad used to say" Seems everybody and their damn brother in South Jersey runs a greendumptruck" Lol!.......................................Mark
  12. No doubt Al! Bobs had a 1/32nd scale slot car track as well,i remember you could get all sorts of things to upgrade you car to go faster! lighter axles, motor kits, contact brushes etc. they even had an in-house shop to "soup-up" cars if you didn't have the know how. I had a pretty badass purple 41' Willys coupe that was the terror of the track! Lol!......................................Mark
  13. Whatever you do Mike, don't throw it away! that Camaro deserves a restoration,i've been going through some of mine and planning some restorations now that I have the skills and patience (just not the time) I recently re-did an old Hubley Metal Model-A station wagon that came out real nice,i also have a roadster and pickup that I built for my Grandfather in 72' or 73' ..........................................Mark

  16. I hear ya' Mike! I have been collecting and building models since I was a kid,i have an AMT "double kit" from the sixties 1940 Ford/1932 Ford that still has the original price tag on it $1.49! I have seen it online for $4-500.00! I wish I had bought a truckload of them back then!......................Mark
  17. Todays kids are missing out on a lot of the things us older guys did as kids! many a Saturday I spent in the basement of Wykoff's Hobby Shop racing slot cars! model car contests were something to look forward to! (and not everybody got a trophy like today!) you had to put some time and effort into your own project. Different world now I guess! personally I miss those days, only thing we worried about back then was eating too much pizza provided by the owners and spoiling our dinner! or if we had enough money left over to buy a new kit or the latest Matchbox/Hotwheels cars! proud to say that hobby shop is still open and doing a booming business to this day!.......................Bob's Hobby and Crafts, Pitman,NJ...............................Mark
  18. I'm usually pretty good with anything from the 1930's on up till the early seventies, anything newer then that I don't have a clue! Mrs.Vision says "how do you know all those damn old cars, they all look alike?" my answer is "No,all the NEW cars and trucks look alike to me"!...........................Mark
