  1. I knew when Otherdog posted pictures of this R-Model a few weeks back, that it was the same one I liked from the old "American Trucker" magazine many years ago,i tracked down a copy on fleabay, but it only had one useable picture, definately the same truck! (sorry its a pretty crappy scan)......................Mark
  2. Al,had to look through my "library" but I thought I knew the same truck you mentioned,i wish I had taken more pictures of Greensteins trucks when my Dad was still hauling produce. I found this in the book "100 years of semi trucks" by Ronald G. Adams....................Mark
  3. I thought I remembered something like that too,but wasn't sure. I do know the later 9670 IH C.O.Es were offered with the 110" cab,but I don't ever recall seeing a "real" Transtar with a double bunk unless it was home made. I always liked the "Eagle" paint scheme thought they were sharp trucks!.......................................Mark
  4. That's what I was thinking, they have some sharp metallic greys out too that would look great with a red frame.............................Mark
  5. Rob,this one? I just found this too,i still don't recall them offered from the factory though............................Mark
  6. So do I! sharp paint scheme........................Mark
  7. Found this while looking at some other pictures,i've heard stories, but have never seen a FACTORY double-bunk Transtar?.................Mark
  8. Located a few more that I thought would be of interest...........................Mark
  9. Got one of those for Christmas last year, still haven't had time to work on it!.....................................................Mark
  10. Puts me in mind of the current Rhode Island State Police uniform!....................Mark
  11. Taste the meat,not the heat! LOL!.........................................."Hank"
  12. Rotary dial land-line too!...................Mark
  13. I'm with Farmer! video with sound please! congrats on getting the truck here safe and sound,i'd sure like to see, hear (and drive)it in person Lol!..................................Mark
  14. I agree with Superdog,IH DT-466 is a good dependable engine (and plentiful) any place that has salvage schoolbuses should have several........................................Mark
  15. When I was a kid,Jersey had "blue laws" that meant you could not buy certain things in a department store on Sunday, the store was open, but some merchandise was covered up or roped off. Some counties would not allow truck deliveries on Sunday either. I remember being in Two-Guys (department store) with my Mom as a kid,and you could not buy reels of pictures for a View-Master! why I don't know! (please note, some guys may have to "Google" View-Master Lol!)......................................Mark
  16. Best wishes to everyone for a safe and happy Thanksgiving! turkey's all dressed and ready to go in the oven!.................................Mark
  17. My thinking is this,if it was Mack to Mack swap,no brainer,BUT being as the truck is set-up for a Cummins personally I think that is the best option, not so much to change over, and my Dad always had good luck with Cummins engines, especially the 400. Sure, in a perfect world we'd run all Mack engines, but I would not be ashamed at all to run a good "Hummin' Cummins" in a Mack.....just my .02 Mark
  18. Jerseys getting like that with all the other BS! I used to be able to paint cars in my own garage without benefit of a EPA approved downdraft paintbooth,haz-mat suit, fresh air re-circulation devices etc. getting to be now you can't do much of anything without "big brother" checking in and telling you what you can and can't do! Jersey is one of the few states prohibiting self-service gas,yet usually the price and taxes are some of the lowest in the country! go figger!..................Mark
  19. Forgot my BMT edicate! heres the pictures...........................................Mark
  20. It's most definitely a wrap,Clark has all their "banner" trailers done at a graphic arts company in Jersey, they do some amazing work,i have watched them do a couple trailers including the Lion King merchandise trailer I pulled for about a month.................Mark http://www.macktrucks.com/default.aspx?pageid=10235
  21. Don't know what it is for certain, but best I can tell is that it may be a 1950's Fageol or International Moving van that has been turned into a tractor................Mark
  22. Here are a couple of the same truck I had saved,no info on the truck itself though.........................Mark
  23. Speaking of "strange C.O.E's" how bout this one?........................Mark
  24. Be hard pressed to find anything like it for much under 20K ! not many 360's left...............................................Mark
