  1. Everyone has their favorites, and I've always been a "dye in the wool" GM man,but in my opinion, the best looking car ever made is the Supercharged 1936 Cord 812, way ahead of its time in both looks, performance and features......................................Mark
  2. Just no real comparison between the two!.................................Mark
  3. JT,ayup! I care don't care for any make vehicle made in 1959,best looking Caddy in my opinion is 53/54 that's about it!..............................................Mark
  4. Prolly been re-cabbed,has the old style mounts, and hood, still a pretty nice truck for the money!........................Mark
  5. Damn Tom! you wasn't kiddin' about that cop being a big fat ass! I hope it gets worked out,i'm with you though, can't help but worry about something like this, especially with all the new CMV rules/bullshit........................................Mark
  6. Nice truck! and welcome aboard! I say,get the mechanicals straight,wash-detail and ride!................................Mark
  7. Prolly the easiest thing to do would be to find a good used Mid-roof CX,can always convert the sleeper area into RV type seating, hell of a sight cheaper then any crew-cab type vehicle!..........................................Mark http://columbusoh.ebayclassifieds.com/trucks-vans-suvs/howard/2004-mack-vision-cx613-sleeper-semi-460hp-mack-engine/?ad=27772121
  8. Personally,i have had no serious problems (enginewise)other than the cam being replaced under warranty with my 01' CX,460,13 speed Road-Ranger,the only issues I've had were more specific to the truck itself ie: coolant tanks, electrical shorts, air system problems etc. But I couldn't be happier with the performance of my 460,i've been told maybe I just got "a good one" but I like to think it is due to good preventative maintenance, keeping a good eye on things and not driving like a maniac! happy to report 1,000,000 miles last year, and has not yet been apart!......................Mark
  9. I've often wondered what werners "attricion rate" for tractors and trailers is? gotta be in the thousands a year for both I would think. Bonehead werner "driver" pulled a door off my trailer earlier this year....................Mark
  10. Oy! to each his own,but in my opinion the 59 (anything) is the ugliest car ever made! LOL!..............................................Mark
  11. Boy,makes you wonder what that Superliner went for? I like the sleeper R-Models too! I really wanted an R-Model when I ordered my MH,but there were no sleepers available within a 300 mile radius!............................................Mark
  12. Must be an imaginary place! I see a Swift truck BACKED in a parking spot and the lightpole behind him is still standing! Also there are no bobtails taking up spaces either!................Mark
  13. I just read a tornado touched down near Peoria,IL today causing some major damage,i hope our old BMT friend Rob faired ok,and all others involved as well!.....................................................Mark
  14. Ken,there is an outfit that is always at fall Hershey and Carlisle with a trailer load of take-off OEM wheels,i can't recall their name, but Paul (41 Chevy) may know who i'm talking about. They always have some pretty obscure stuff! Might just have the wheels you're looking for....................Mark
  15. Guy sure has a way with words don't he? LOL! I don't NEED another truck.but may just buy this one anyway!..................................Mark
  16. I don't know about all vehicles, but the Mack 6 cylinder was,a small door with a set-screw,Pop said you also had to set the spark ignition/timing and fuel before starting (much like a Model-T ford) on the steering wheel..............................Mark
  17. Here are a few more I came across..................................................Mark
  18. Something of an art to crankstart a vehicle! my Grandfather told me many stories about having to crank his first truck (Mack AK-6) over by hand, had to get your timing just right,or the crank would "back-up" and break your arm!................................................Mark
  19. I love these FNG's that when you pass them, they click on the high beams just as you look in the mirror to come back over! if you don't know how to give someone "the lights' DON'T DO IT!!!!! pisses me off too when people don't use their lights in rain, bad weather!...........................Mark
  20. I hear ya! "routine" day for me averages 12-14 plus hours,if I did things "by the book" i'd be broke and on the road for three weeks with 10 stops! I'm getting pretty sick and tired of the govmints, interfererence in my livelyhood! When i'm tired I sleep, when I need a break I take one! Don't need anyone to tell me to do so! Getting tougher everyday for an O/O to make a living, but the sheep don't want people who can think and act for themselves, they want 5-6 supercarriers piloted by driving school rejects that will do what and when their told for .25 cpm........just my opinion,...............Mark
  21. HOW! AND HOW!..........nyuk,nyuk,nyuk!
  22. Did'nt you know if you add the words "rare" or "vintage" it adds 10K to the asking price? some numbnuts down here has a "vintage" Mack ashtray on craigslist for $300.00! good luck with that!........................................Mark
  23. Those models are the handy-work of Egg Harbor New Jerseys own Dave Natale...............Check out his website!...........Mark http://www.aitruckmodels.com/
