  10. Good article! nice to see someones opinion that's not "all the old trucks were terrible" for a change! todays drivers couldn't handle a B-Model (or anything else with two sticks) which is a shame, because the ability to drive two sticks is a lost and dying art! .........................................Mark

  13. Great article, thanks for posting! I have always been interested in WWII,and its many vehicles, and always wondered about the operation of tanks and their crews,i found this video on the driving of a Sherman M-4 I thought might be of interest. For those un-aware,the Sherman was a highly inferior tank to comparable German units, basicly a deathtrap! under-armored,under-gunned,and fueled with high-octane gasoline. But Mack did make the transmissions for both early M-3 and M-4's musta' been quite a workout to run a tank! I give the WWII tank crew vets all the admiration and respect I have! Truly some of the most un-sung heroes of the war...........................Mark
  14. Paul,i thought that was a super-secret spy photo of Rob! LOL!..............................................................Mark
  15. Doug, thats a GREAT picture! something to be proud of! thanks for posting it!..................................Mark
  16. There's a reason its only 15K,good used heavy spec'd Mack would go for twice that amount,my opinion, prolly used up,wore out,and as previously stated, exporters don't want it it because its an electronic engine,my advise would be to pass on it..................................Mark
  17. I remember that poster! had one hanging in our shop in the late seventies!..........................................Mark
  18. Slow news day,and i don't get to see much TV,but today I have seen at least a dozen different commercials for "accident avoidance" systems,"rear view safety cameras" "self parking assistance/steering" "accident prediction sensors" "lane change managers" etc. so can anyone tell me when common sense and the ability to PAY ATTENTION to your driving went away? Just curious,i remember a time when YOU the DRIVER of your automobile were responsible for both your safety, those riding with you,and other motorists! YOU had to PAY ATTENTION and actually drive the car,not the other way around!are people really this pre-occupied with phones, texting, gps etc. that they now need the SUV to drive itself? a dunno, maybe its just me?.....................Mark
  19. Some neat pictures on their website as well! quite a few R-700's with V-8's kind of a rarity here on the east coast!............................Mark
  20. That's what I was thinking Bob,looks like an old ALLIED tractor,be neat to have an old school single axle moving van to go with it!.......................................Mark

  25. Only thing I think i'd do different, would be to change over to a 6X4 or 5X4 trans. THEN it truly would be a "man's truck" LOL!............................................Mark
