  9. Nice! that Mack looks great!years ago in South Jersey I saw a similar truck,even enquired about buying the cab & chassis ,but wouldn't pay the "collectable" price ,so the last I heard both truck and body went under the blue wrench,and are prolly soup cans now!.....................Mark

  14. Thanks Chuck! couldn't remember which was which! I last saw the yellow Sterling several years ago in a lot off the southbound side of 295,a yard with a bunch of out-dated car carriers. There also used to be another one of those big Sterlings in Trenton,can't remember the name of the towing company but their trucks were green?.......................Mark

I have always wondered,(maybe one of you "firetruck guys" knows) but why do they make such a big deal out of de-indentifiying ex fire apparatus? ie: removing all the numbers,I.D. etc.?.I mean I know little to nothing about firetrucks,but even I knew that tandem ladder truck was ex- FDNY................................................Mark
  20. There here somewhere! I wanted them to put up in my toyroom,but still haven't unpacked a good many things from when we moved (5 years ago!) i'm sure they'll turn up eventually. I sent away for a promotional package from Mack when they came out,had a nice brochure and a B&W 8"X 10" picture IIRC.....................Mark

  23. That big Diamond-T 921 (I think) used to live in Northeastern PA,i used to see it parked behind a house off the Northeast Extension of the PA Pike,it was in Wheels of Time too....................Mark

  25. I sure do Ernie! I had an Uncle (gone now) that drove for Public Service,he left there and went to work for Decamp Bus Lines in Patterson I think? I seen a picture of that wrecker one time,i'm pretty sure it went to one of the towing outfits in South Jersey.Two outfits around Bordentown had some heavy duty iron at one time Lynch's and i Cant remember the other one (right next to the Petro at exit 7) yellow trucks,they both had one of those ex-military Sterlings...........................................Mark
