  3. Yup, the H-1000 series is more commonly known as a "two story falcon" shared the Budd cab with its little brother the C-series.These things were the "shit" in the moving and storage industry back in the sixties, seems like damn near every other bedbugger out there had one! Heres a nice example from out Superdogs way....................Mark
  4. Thanks Ken! learn something new everyday!...........................Mark
  5. Rob and BULLHUSK will prolly vouch for me when I tell you there prolly wasn't a garbage truck anywhere in North Jersey/NYC "back in the day" that DID'NT have wheelcovers on it! LOL!.........personally,i'm glad that's a fad that went away!...........................Mark
  6. Ken,i meant to ask you earlier when you started this thread, are these tractors associated with the same WHITE that built the trucks? just curious....................................Mark
  7. The Matchbox dump is based on a 1963 B-Series GMC,and I agree,they look a lot like an N-Series Ford....................Mark
  8. Some nice ones Rob! I have the later Scammel gold wrecker with superfast wheels and the yellow pipe carrying tractor trailer. I'll have to take some pictures when I get home,my "pride of the fleet" Corgi would have to be my A-N-D Service B-Model wrecker,i have the Starbuck LJ Christmas truck too (don't like starbucks coffee, but I like the truck!)...............Mark
  9. Matchbox made the GMC/Fruehauf bottom dump doubles also.............................................Mark
  10. Split grille and aluminum bumper are almost worth the price of admission! my kind of truck right there! just needs a REAL engine, and a pair of sticks! wish it was closer, but as expected with the long wheelbase,i figured it was out west somewhere!.............Mark
  11. No pretty much the same here (law-wise) I was sitting outside a Mickey D's when I saw it,i do "fudge" one every once in a while when I see something interesting! LOL!..................Mark

My Dad had a friend with an OLD cabover White Freightliner leased to RDS trucking in Vineland N.J. for years,we were visiting his shop once, and he must have had 25-30 4X4 trans.laying around! along with some married boxes,2 or 3 6X4's too if I had only knew back then! LOL!...............................Mark

  21. Me too! (mixed bag that is) I really don't "specialize" in any particular model or maker, just get the ones I like,i have Tonkas,First Gear,Winross,Corgi's,and many others as well. I think I like the "nostalgia" factor the most with my Winross trucks, one of the first I ever got was a 9000 White from the Howard Johnsons restaurant at the south end of the Turnpike when I was a kid, still have it now,and its one of my favorites! a lot of my trucks didn't survive childhood either! but I have been trying to replace some of the ones I had (along with some I wanted)pretty much all my life!i guess its a sickness like anything else LOL! but like Mrs.Vision says "theres gonna be one HELL of a sale when I kick the bucket!!"....................Mark
  22. I like it! LOL!.......................Mark
