  2. Oh yeah Bob! guess its a "Jersey Thing" Jimmies in South Jersey,"Sprinkles" in North Jersey and New York!...................................................Mark
  3. Damn I miss the Jersey Shore! (no,not that dumbass TV show) we used to go all the time,we always liked Wildwood, just ain't summer till you've dribbled your first Kohr Bros. ice cream cone (with rainbow jimmies I might add!) down the front of your shirt!..................Mark
  4. Nice pictures ! thanks for posting them,i sure like this F-Model,very sharp paint, and my favorite "New England" style pinstripes!.........................................Mark
  5. Right on the penny!..............................Mark
  6. I think you're right Jim,i think they were all aerodynes,i don't recall ever seeing a flat roof V.I.T eitther,now that I think about it..............................Mark
  7. Al,i really don't know how many came that way,but I do know my cousins wrecker was factory tan inside,we took the door apart once to replace a window regulator, and all inside of the door was painted tan,no green anywhere! truck still had its factory Mack red outside,i do agree, maybe it was a custom order. I know a lot of UPS's early F-Models had both green and tan interiors, depending on the shop / terminal managers choice (or so I have been told LOL!)............................Mark
  8. Huskidrive was Brockways 2 speed rear-end designed to be used as an overdrive, you can tell a Huskidrive equipped truck because it has TWO gold Huskys on the hood! a lot of the oldtimers called them "5 on the floor,2 on the dash" (the two speed switch is located on the dash, looks a lot like a power-divider switch)...................................Mark
  9. Jim,where'd you end up in South Jersey?................................................Mark
  10. APA had a B-Model (unsure what year) with a factory tan interior, also several early MB's with a tan interior. My cousin had a 1964 B-67 wrecker that had a factory tan interior with a white steering wheel, maybe some came that way late in production?....................Mark
  11. Local cartage company here has a Superliner II roll-off,just never been able to get a good picture of it..................Mark

    Summer

Getting long in the summer, seems it just gets started and its over! but being as most take their time off/vacations in the summer, thought i'd post a picture of a world-class beer holder for those that might need one!.........................Mark
  13. Brockway (like roller derby) means tough!....................................Mark
  14. Damn sharp Huskypup Ernie! any progress on the blue one? that's one of my favorite trucks that's ever been posted on here! nice pics of you and the boys too! wouldn't know what to do without my dogs,as big a part of the family as I am! Gotta get that truck to Macungie one of these days, just get on 78 and head west! we had a great time this year, first time I've been to the show, nice to meet up in person sometime!...................Mark
  15. Glad to see you enjoying a well deserved vacation Mike! as Ernie said,we're only here for a short time, best to make the best of of it,and thoughrougly enjoy the time you have! my little trip to Macungie was the first thing I've had like a vacation in something like 7 years!...................................Mark
  16. Boy you sure got that right Ernie! now you need a computer,a fault code reader and a college education!..................Mark
  17. That's a good looking truck! there were a lot of Brockways running around South Jersey when I was younger,we were also near the factory sales branch too (Vineland,NJ) up until a few years ago,the big fiberglass Husky was still up on the sign (long since gone now) I think the old building is a truck frame /alignment shop now. My dad looked at a new 361 very much like that one,but didn't want a Detroit,so he ended up with a 72 White-Freightliner C.O.E..................Mark
  18. We had a used 361 for a short time, the one in the middle,350 Cummins,10 speed (it had been Huskydrive originally),pretty good truck, allthough I only ever drove it a few times traded it in on an F-Model because we needed something with a sleeper on it. The wheelbase on this one was just too short.IIRC, they allowed 2500.00 trade against the F-Model?...wish I still had it now!.............Mark
  19. I think if I could locate a Brockway cabover to restore, prolly do it up like this one, remember these ads from when I was a kid,i was pretty impressed even back then!..........................Mark
  20. I'm right there with you Al!,i like the 360/361 series too, never really cared for the later Mack cabbed models..................Mark
  21. Damn Randy! guess I better look into gettin' me a fire truck! that thing sure seems to be a babe magnet!....................................Mark
  22. I really like that truck! any thought of restoring it to the original Smith colors? I have told Ron (39 BabyMack) how much I always liked their color scheme, really looks sharp!....................................Mark
  23. I guess i'm in the minority as far as this subject is concerned, personally i do not like straight- pipes, especially on a working truck, just too much noise! showtruck, toy, maybe! I guess I spent too much time in my youth inside B and R models with no mufflers. Don't get me wrong,i love the sound of a truck with straight-pipes,just as long as its not mine!with me the quieter the better! I drove a White Road Commander for Atlas early on,with a 6V-92 Detroit in it with raincaps on it,damn tink, tink, tink would drive you batshit when trying to sleep! I would take them off, throw them away, soon as i'd get back in,shop mechanic would put it back on!................................Mark
  24. Whose trucks are those Vin?.............................................Mark
  25. Nice lookin' job Vin!,its little details (like painting the rear letters) that make a truck really stand out!..................Mark
