After almost 35 years on the road,i'm giving some serious thought to hangin'up my guns (at least as an O/O) getting damn tired of the bullshit and headaches out here these days! Just not making the money I used to,and working twice as hard,my new deal is not working out as planned,just can't get the backhaul freight,and out-bound loads to co-ordinate! doing more dead-heading then i'd like! And damn near every load they have now seems to go to Detroit or some other such shithole! told them a hundred times NJ/NYC is my "bag" but we save those loads for the "A" team brown nosers,cause they pay the best. I could continue on with Clark,as they have been good to me throughout the past 13 years,but I have no interest in buying a new truck,money's not there anymore,and I want nothing to do with all the new EPA/emissions bullshit.Don't want another truck payment either! just frustrating I guess,i'm tired of the "rookies" on the road that don't give a shit about anybody or anything! tired of looking for a safe spot to park everynight,can't go to sleep until the dipshits on either side of me get backed in for the night! tired of bums,hookers,wheel polishers,panhandlers,"salesmen",etc.annoying the living shit out of me almost everyday! had a bum just yesterday ask me for money,i said i'll give you a job,help me unload,and i'll pay you! OH,NO Man! I don't want no job,just need a couple dollars!(didn't get it) new breed of customers too,especially the "big box" stores,i'm here for a 6am appt. no,sorry we have you scheduled for 8! we'll come and get you when we're ready! did I mention I have 8 more stops to get off today? sorry,not our problem!pretty much the norm anymore! plus by the time I do get home,soon as I hit the door,its damn near time to leave again! I have a few irons in the fire right now,in the way of local (home every night) even spotting trailers,dump truck, wrecker etc. just gotta see about the money,and what pans out,nothing is written in stone right now,just about had my fill of the daily BS though!..please excuse the rant!.......................Mark

Yup that's the place,we used to drop trailers across the street when we had a show in Reno,made it nice cause you could bob-tail downtown,got a parking ticket last time I was in Reno for taking up two spaces (beat it, cause I put money in both meters!)......................Mark

Took the words right outta' my mouth! easiest way to spot a first gen. Camaro 67' had "wing windows" 68'69' did not,67'parking light lenses are round,68' are shaped like a bar of soap,but then you get into the RS,SS,etc. and that's a whole different ballgame!.............Mark

I saw that thing crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge once years ago,always wondered what it was! only thing I recognized was the 9500 series/Brigadier cab so I assumed it was GMC based as Preston was using a lot of Brigadiers at the time.....................................Mark
