  5. Ken, the most common place i've seen a door installed on a trailer like yours is in the curbside, just behind the "drop",that way you can also install a set of folding steps like on a camper....................................Mark

  10. Oh yeah, their headquaters is still in Monroeville,NJ but their main terminal is now in Avondale,PA,pretty small outfit as far trucking companies go. I saw one of their CX's in Ohio yeasterday.........................................Mark
  11. Even if it ends up being a mailbox bracket/lawn ornament, better than seeing a classic Mack go to the scrapyard!................................Mark
  12. I like that one too! Kramme is a food grade carrier, they are the house carrier of choice for Hersheys,M&M Mars and several other candy companies, along with local milk and kosher products......................................Mark
  13. Ken,when you back up to the trailer for the first time, the trailer should be high enough to cover about half of the fifth wheel before it flattens out,and you continue backing under it,get out and check several times if needed, once you do it a few times you'll get a "feel' for it.As i already said, its very important to make sure their is no vertical gap between the trailer and fifth wheel,if so,re-drop,lower trailer and try again. Failure to do so could cause the trailer to come un-hooked and you don't want that!................Mark
  14. Must be a typo on the year,as far as i know,a 46 looks just like a 41,new style cab/grille came out in sept. 1947....................................Mark

Monroeville,NJ i grew up right down the street from their main office, this B-Model was brand new when this picture was taken circa 1959. Kramme has been a longtime Mack user, and has rum almost everthing from AC's up to the CX's.....................................Mark

  19. Never been up to Winfall, but i delivered to a big furniture store this week, and had a nice lady try and sell me a $25,000 rug,i said "its nice and all,but my wife prolly won't like it" she gave me a funny look, and said what a shame! so i was just on about my bidness after that, she seemed kinda dissappointed.....................................Mark

  23. Lots of uses for the pads! not an ex-mover alive worth his weight that has'nt spent the night on a stack of pads! great to lay on when working on the truck, make a good fender cover, damn good blanket when the heater quits! as far as the door, consult your local Great dane dealer, they can be ordered (a lot of the Nascar trailers have them) and its a relatively easy job, company i'm leased to has a trailer with a "people" door on the curbside, its used to access show merchandise in the nose of the trailer,i have i picture of me hooked to it,but its the wrong side to see the door!..............................................Mark
