  1. I gotta agree! Atlanta is a damn nightmare! Charlotte is getting almost as bad! that "spaghetti junction" north of ATL is one of the worst designed interchanges i have ever seen! you better have a damn good idea where you want to end up before you start!..........Mark

  6. APA had MB's with 6-800,000 miles (all city) that had never been apart, different drivers, bad roads, heavy freight, etc. still ran great! at 41 thousand miles the piston rings are'nt even seated good yet!...................................................Mark
  7. I think a positive outlook is important! and all of us here on BMT will have a prayer and good thought for both you and you family!......................................Mark
  8. Truck looks great! thats one hell of a wheelbase! any idea what it did in its former life? tractor? dump? etc..................................................Mark
  9. I really don't know what the laws are state to state, but my personal thoughts are CDL weight,air-brakes,etc.even a "hobby" truck, still should have a CDL just to be on the safe side.......................................Mark
  10. I actually saw something like that firsthand once, years ago, when i was an hourly driver for Atlas,i was going to Conn. with a delivery,i saw 2 women in a new (at the time) Corvette in the line for the tollbooth at the GWB,they were next to me,and the car was overheating. I saw them in the mirror pull over just north of the bridge,i assume to see what was wrong. later that day when i came back, the burned out, stripped (and i mean stripped!) hulk of the car was being towed away! all in broad daylight,in the span of about 4 hours! never understood how all that could go un-noticed in the middle of the day, don't see near as many abandoned/stripped cars on the Cross-Bronx as i used too...............................Mark
  11. I used to have one,(my Dad belonged to Roadmasters) here is a picture of the jacket patch, sorry its not a real good one!..........................Mark

  16. WOW! Tim,thats a real "blast from the past" been a LONG time since i've seen a set of gold center Cragar "super tricks" on anything!,i remember it was also "cool" to put T/A exaust splitters on a Camaro, good friend of mine in H.S. had a Z-28 almost identical to that one, only he had a "K-40" CB antenna on the decklid had to be like the "Bandit" lol! thanks for posting, really brought a smile to my face!..........................Mark
  17. I really dread the thoughts of Pittsburgh, personally i'd rather truck NYC anyday! seems i'm always on the wrong side of the bridge/wrong exit everytime! i go to a place in McKees Rocks that i don't think i've ever been to the same way twice!..................Mark
  18. Sounds like your Dad and mine were a lot alike! my Dad also said he was no businessman, but managed to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table all his life,he un-like me,never met a stranger,he hauled many a load on a handshake and "half up-front" and was rarely ever without a load,of course he ran like a bandit though! one of the reasons i got out of the moving and storage business, when i started at Atlas,it was MANDATORY you had at least 5-7 years HHG experience before even being considered for specialized, high value service no exceptions, now any numbnuts with a truck can lease on direct with special commodities, which is another reason the rates dropped so low! just no money in it anymore i used to make some REAL money "back in the day" but them days are long gone now!.............................Mark
  19. I was hoping i was wrong! LOL!...........................................Mark
  20. I have'nt been to MATS in a few years, used to try and make it my "working vacation" especialy now that i'm loading out-bound from about 60 miles west of Louisville. As far as the truck show itself, only so many "goobered-up" petes and KW's i can stomach looking at! but i do enjoy the "inside" show, always something new and interesting to see! does'nt hurt theres usually some nice lookin' wimmins around too!...............................Mark
  21. Mike Parhurst was notoriously hard on Ford products,it's a wonder the W-Series ever made it into production!.............................Mark
  22. Anybody know of a Factory V-12 roadoiler in an F-Model? i know there were a few Brockway C.O.E's with green leakers in them, but don't recall ever seeing or hearing about one in an F-Model. I had a picture saved of a Hayward F-Model with that goofy bumper, but am un-able to find it,thats what made me think to ask................................Mark
  23. Geek squad? that could be damn near anyone involved with BMT LOL!.................................Mark
  24. That would be the place! i could'nt think of the name,i go in there with kitchen cabinets every once in a while. I don't know what it is about Pittsburgh, seems i get lost damn near every time i'm there, holy shit, how many damn low underpasses are in P-burg? LOL! almost worse as Chicago!............................Mark
  25. Lewis, thankfully Mrs.Vision handles all computer problems here, (usually caused by yours truly) if it was up to me,when the S.O.B don't run,i'd go to work on it with a ball-pein hammer!.............................Algernon
