  1. I used to stop in there when it was still Pharoah's,always was able to find a place to park,good food and usually some pretty nice scenery (waitress-wise) too! really went downhill the last few years it was open................................Mark

  8. Nice pictures as usual Tom! are those trucks in Midway are right across 78 from the diner? (a good place to eat BTW) they had a G-Model,several H-Models,and 2 or 3 Marmon C.O.E's in there for the longest time,they were all gone the last time i was through there. I have always wanted to stop at "Roadside America" just east of there,but have just never had the time,as many times as i've run across 78,seems it never works out!............................Mark

Glad to hear you landed the A-Car Paul! i still haven't found out the fate of that AC powered Freightliner C.O.E. up in Jersey for sure,i sent my brother to investigate,but he does'nt know a White-Freightliner C.O.E from a ladies handbag! (not "into" trucks) next time i get up that way and have the time i will check on it myself.........................................Mark

I used to have a few copies of Truckin Life,i wish i still had the one with an ad for Mack,when they introduced the R-Model,had a picture of a "truckie" with tears in his eyes,saying "when i heard Mack were replacing the B-Model,i could have cried! that is TILL i saw the new R-Model" !.......................................................Mark

Very nice truck! we had a school project when i was in grade school,that envolved writing to someone in a foreign country,my "pen pal" ended up being the son of a "Truckie" also,he send me this picture of his Dads "tipper" my grandad was so impressed with the Aussie style sunvisor,we ended up ordering one for our R-Model clear from New Zealand!.................Mark

  24. Theres one like (Overnite F-Model) it down the road from here,in a small paving company lot,not much left of it,rusted,full of bulletholes,looks like its been there 100 years!...............................Mark
  25. Odd looking truck for sure,a schoolbus company near me when i lived in Jersey had one,a little single axle wrecker,used to see it all the time,but don't know whatever happened to it.................................Mark
