  1. I seem to remember, apparently in another post I had, some of you guys talking about electronic ignition conversions for this engine. Can anyone give me some more info on those? We're kinda starting to consider one of those
  2. sweet!! that looks like pretty rare rig, I hope it gets restored...
  3. took these in 2009 when I visited my girlfriend in Hillsboro, NH. a local guy had collected a bunch of old mack trucks and a few others, as well as some construction equipment. I really regret not taking more pictures, because they were all auctioned off the next week.
  4. I'll haveta check on that info. I was old enough to remember when he quit driving, and I believe his last truck was a cab-over freightliner of some sort. He also at one point drove a IH Transtar.
  5. I can't remember if I posted this before or not, but I recently found some old pics of trucks my grandfather used to drive. I found pics of his H, F and R, but unfortunately couldn't find any of the B he drove for a while. my dad told me that the F model had been crashed head-first into a building, and then rebuilt before my grandfather got it. they sure build 'em tough, dont they? mack h.bmp mack r.bmp Untitled-Scanned-09.bmp Untitled-Scanned-11.bmp
  6. My info packet came in the mail today for this truck! Turns out the original customer was Harrisburg Steel, and that it was put on the assembly line September 10, 1965, and finished Sept. 14, 1965. There's a copy of a slip of paper that says "ship to Allied Tank Truck Equipment Co, Phila, PA", so maybe the part of it being a water tanker is true. The packet itself is massive, and includes operators manuals for the engine, and the MB series operators manual, along with the chassis record, sales record, spec sheet, a list of parts suppliers for old Mack's, and a huge colection of various service manuals.
