  1. This was my 83 RD with the hood scoop,it had the 300+ with 12 speed,an awesome work truck...
  2. I used to own a 1963 Diamond T,the cab was factory pink in and out,strange color for a garbage truck...
  3. That truck is beautiful,makes me miss mine,still have a bumper for ya if you need it...
  4. I flip the splitter when in neutral,change the air filter on the trans see if that helps..
  5. Yep he went under a railroad bridge that was to low,the bus was coming the other way and after impact with the bridge he hit the bus head on,there was another picture in the paper showed the drum laying on the ground,truck belonged to Nicola

Same setup I owned and drove for many years,the 250 is a great running engine nice and smooth but no balls at all,that's where the quad box comes in,once you teach yourself how to shift and really master it the truck will move along very well except pulling a long steep grade,good luck and have fun...s

  10. According to the story the cement truck was out of control and crashed in the school bus killing the driver of the bus and injuring 6 kids,could of been a lot worse,this was on oyster bay rd in Nassau county Long Island.Scary chit..

  13. Drill them out or grind of the nuts from underneath,it will be worth the time and effort...
  14. I would take the hooks off so you can paint under them and reinstall with new stainless steel bolts,just my two cents!

  18. Are you living in the stone age,as a hunter I have seen many wabbits infected with parasites,the most common being tape worms,so if Buster eats bunny with tape worm then Buster gets tape worm,Not Good...
  19. Raw bunny's are not good for Dozer,they need to be cooked first if possible...
  20. I only mounted one on an RD and I used self tapping sheet metal screws with an ample amount of silicone to keep out any rain water...
  21. We used to run trucks with farm plates on them,no nys insp was required but the truck had to run on a designated route,that was many years back so might be different now...
  22. It is a bolt and when you remove it and the washer behind it the slack adj should slide off,to replace the bushings you will have to take the s cam out and to do that you have to remove the drums,I would leave the bushings till you replace the brake shoes..

  24. Guess it's good thing I cant afford a new Mack,but never had any issues with the older ones,work them hard day after day on and off road,routine maintenance is all they needed.
  25. I think it's safe to say that you better have good brakes and have them adjusted properly and have good tires and tight steering and no broken springs or cracked windshield ect,ect,ect,or you will be put out of service just like any one else,antique or not...
