I tried your I V bag method and it worked like a charm,what a difference,next time I’ll try the cable lube and the cable fitting that I ordered to apply it,Thanks for the idea..

No that’s a throttle cable different from the accelerator cable,I’ll check my old bill receipts,I replaced this a couple times in the past,but lubricant might work if I can get it in there..

I can get the cable at Mack but thought I would look on line to avoid the insane price mack charges for everything now,I’m gonna try and get some lube in it,it’s just to slow and sticking a little..

I ordered a can of cable lube and a fitting that is used to force the lube into the cable,I’ll see how that works..

Would anyone possibly have a part number for the correct Accelerator cable for a cl with an E-7 350,looks like about 80 inches?

Different trans but I had the same problem with my 12 speed and it was the shift cylinder on top of the tranny that was causing it,new o rings fixed the problem.. -

My thoughts exactly,bran new ok but a little worn,no way,I’ll just keep on pumping grease but I will now jack up the back axel like the book says,well at least sometimes ..lol

1985,so what do u think about gear oil or some other liquid type lube in there,would it even stay in and obviously any grease u pump in there will mix with it right..

It also says to jack up rear axle to remove the load on the bushing before servicing..

According to this we’re all wrong,suppose to use gear oil I guess in the end cap anyway,make any sense to anybody?

The toughest and in my opinion the best suspension ever invented for heavy trucks,there must be something from Mack as to how to service it..
