  1. need a 3/4 drive set Leslie and S-K ratchet. wrenched lots of Macks over the years wth one. have managed to split the ratchet right around the clicker in 3 spots tho before. I always liked S K tools over anyone else including Snap on but its getting harder to find people to replace the SK's anymore
  2. I dunno Glen, probably the F-ing link he posted would suffice as to info where you can buy scale models????
  3. B models were All made in Allentown, least as far as I know.... not the factory we all know in Macungie but in downtown Allentown at a few different factories
  4. names look correct to me and 10-4 on the direction thing. damn accident and detours made me at least an hour late for the show
  5. someones got a pic of it. god, what are some people thinking. like the guys that mount a Mack bulldog on an old IH or Ford truck.... that just pisses me off. I have seen a few guys get out the drill and drill two holes and mount one on a brand new Chevy 1 ton tho, pretty sure Ed Fabian did that..
  6. wow, a surviving Celli truck. Mack offered aluminum square fuel tanks on B's? theres something I didn't even know
  7. I thought Matt Pfahl painted the Roadway truck didn't he? maybe not, I know he did the dark blue H67. Harry also had a spotless green B61. that Diamond T with the nose stickin out might get you in trouble coming to an intersection if you forget its out there and think your driving a regular Cabover.....
  8. there was an A model I looked at many years ago in cobleskill ny that was a wrecker that was painted exactly like that...
  9. yup, agree.34000 rears. a lot of B42's and B421's were single frame tandems, with fish plates and those three leaf walkin beam rears to
  10. less expensive? since when does the government give a shit about less expensive? everyone of those fuelers I have seen in the past have been Cat powered as well. makes you wonder
  11. nice truck, don't know if id call it 'restored' tho as all I see original is the sheet metal, frame and steering column...
  12. wow im lookin a little pudgy haha. maybe we all should lay off the pastries and beer a little bit ....
  13. sometimes sentimental value gets in the way of real value but those old Sterlings are sweet, def not as many around as old B models
  14. maybe that truck had the walk in back panel door at one time Larry? like the newer spotter trucks? haha if it has a 237 repower, the engine itself is worth 2 grand.
  15. yup, spotted that add on CL last night myself, also a few nice B70 series CHEAP over in Washington state. one solid with a 237 for 1500!
  16. ive seen a DM somewhere also that had juice brakes in the rear
  17. also has a factory Allison automatic in it as well as juice brakes. think it has a 335 Cummins in it
  18. ill have No problem installing the hood Mike..... haha the wheel is off, that's the hard part, installing is easy. I saved the wheel from the scrap guy, had to give him a good penny for it and had to cut the column off with a hacksaw, only damn thing I had with me to get it off with!
  19. I think we should sell beer.....
  20. nice R700. looks like its in nice shape except that cursed bent driverside cowl. looks like someone backed up with the door open and caught it. my R600 cab has the same thing and im thinkin on how to fix it myself to bend the whole door jamb back. I wouldn't be stickin any Detroit in that R700, might get some knives thrown at ya
  21. my first Gerharts show, I was impressed. didn't bring my truck but drove the Camaro down, they both ride just as good, rough
  22. woohoo! cant wait, maybe we can all stop by and get the tour of Mike's Mack Museum...
  23. how about a bug screen and an aluminum B61 hood? haha
  24. I have a Sheller steering wheel for a B model that's beige. its 2'' smaller than a standard B model wheel but will fit any standard B42/B61 with the bigger column. this is a smaller wheel but has the bigger center. has the usual cracks around the center but its in pretty good shape and easily fixable. PM me or gimme a call 315 868 3173
  25. hmmm, seems to be a few stories with that truck. I hear Matt was restoring it and the guy ran out of money and Matt ended up with it.,...... maybe not? I know it had a pack of springs in the ass end about 20'' thick and you could see it bounce off the ground after it ran over a hair in the road....
