  1. that black Superdog with the stripes and the maroon one next to it at Gerharts had to be two of the nicest Superdogs I have ever seen.
  2. I have always liked the e9 powered LTL myself and the Mauro truck. and I agree with you about the exit numbers! god im pretty good with directions and got lost twice going to the show but its alright, two detours then the accident on brunnerville road that I had to go around but still got my fat ass there for the picture at noon. I was behind Matt pfahl's single axle green and black B61 with those big bullhorns and a 711 on the way back to 78. wow does that old 711 bark and haul ass!
  3. missed a lot of you guys. left home at 5 am and got to the show around 11 after the detours and the accident on Bruinnerville rd. was my first time there and a great show. liked the junkyard to. the kight green B61 in the junkyard was all there was the back of cab was rough,. was an ST and a late onei think, had 35XXX as the CERIAL number and rough tanks on both sides. lots of nice trucks there. on a side not I think about 75% of the R models and most every Superdog there had a LUND visor on it.
  4. there was a General on the way to the show also on 501 by the fuel terminal. was white, didn't snap a pic tho. was too busy with the damn detours!
  5. cant go wrong putting money into an old Mack. just be thankful with Volvo involved you can get ANY parts for an older R model. only be a few more years and you wont be able to get shit
  6. I agree about the barn find thing to an extent. the other extent is what good is it? sure I would love a barn find B61 but what good is it if you cant drive it. im with Harbinson on this one I think, you can only collect so much but if you cant enjoy it sometimes and all you do is sit around, drink beers with your friends and stare at it and cant drive it, what good is it? id love an AC Mack or a chain drive F but in reality, I cant jump in it and drive it 200 miles to Macungie either.im more pissed off at the people who walk into a Barrett Jackson auction and buy 6 100,000 cars without blinkin an eye , meanwhile we are in a recession and the country is broke and the government is shut down..
  7. you got it in Seward? no shit. that's like 10 min from my house actually.
  8. yup, saw that the other day, was thinkin about bidding on it myself but not if it goes nuts
  9. well said Mark. I got pissed off the other day in the store. bunch of those freeloadin welfare scumbags ahead of me, WHITE folk that talk like they wanna be a different color and they finally get out of my way, my turn, I get asked credit or debit? I go cash, do you people still a accept CASH I go?! the cashier got pissed off at me cause its not like I was up as 6 am to go to work when it was 97 degrees out and all I wanted to do was buy essentials and beer after work and Im the bad wise ass guy at the register?
  10. yup, someone posted the link to that auction I think here about 2-3 months ago?
  11. funny people in Ny trade ebt cards for cash everyday. what a joke. and the people that do have ebt cards are buyin steaks ahead of me in line at the grocery store while im forced to buy cheap beer
  12. whats the serial number on your 609? just curious. mines a 66.
  13. sorry, was on a rant
  14. I try stayin out of the political bullshit but I wish we could all get back to where OUR vote really mattered. if they actually got in office because we wanted them there. Obama only got in office cause millions on welfare don't wanna lose their benefits. hell theres a scumbag in out town that the county rents him and his knocked up wife a house! a god damn $1500 a month house! he is 22 and has never worked. talk about bs. he should be living in some 200 dollar shithouse 120 degrees in the summer apartment on the 4th floor. its gonna come time when we are all shooting and there is a civil war pretty soon . If Obama wants us all to be equal, give them some of his damn money. back in the day , the more you worked, the more money and toys you got, that's the way it should be. if these lazy fucks don't wanna work, for god sake, don't hand them shit.
  15. yup, agreed! I had all those plans for my B when I put it together but finally just put it together and drove it, then added maxi brakes after, this winter I think im gonna ditch the generator and regulator for an alternator. I can take some pictures of the pump if you want or get you the Vickers # over the weekend. I have a few on trucks. my B had one that was belt driven off the back of the compressor but I think most R models had gear driven ones coupled direct? I have seen the generator driven ones, even seen a few setups go to the scrapyard before.
  16. nope, looking gloomy
  17. if I only had 3500 and a spare cab. R cabs are getting scarce
  18. mmm floaters on the front of a B model dumptruck, im horny...
  19. the better half and I will be there sat. probably get there about 10am. driving the Iroc Z down I think, not that it rides much better than the B model but I plan on takin the B model to Macktoberfest and I just don't see myself driving it to Pa three times in one year. never been to Gerharts myself.
  20. I think EVERY Superdog should have came with dual outside air cleaners and the extended angled bumper but then again, that's my opinion. never cared much for the Superliner 1 or 2 flush bumpers actually.
  21. nice. looks like that R has an extra foot in the wheelbase like my R609T. I like . haven't seen that blue B model in years. think he use to be a member here?
  22. no shit, damn importers. they can leave that sought after Lund Visor here before they ship it.
  23. it has an oil cooler Larry, has the bigger barrel air cleaner I have seen on 711's to but could be a 673p. hard to tell without the number.
  24. tryin to run antique equipment might put you out of business
  25. everyone I have seen had a Vickers pump driven off the back of the air compressor. have seen them coupler driven and belt driven off the back of compressor.
