  1. about the only thing I would do with that truck is give it a coat of paint and get rid of those horrible signal lights and put some big 7'' lollipop signals like they use to run in Jersey. that truck is sweet.
  2. perfect upgrade. should about bolt right in. may have to have the bell housing of the tranny drilled to 7/16's from 3/8's bolts if its olf style and change the front crank hub and pulleys to the one from your old engine. other than that it will bolt right in.
  3. someone around the area had to have a burned or wrecked Kw. its not like they were randomly stealin cat converters from cars. someone needed those specific doors. probably if the cops weren't harassing people for driving 3 miles over the speed limit they would have already found them.
  4. yup, had Shephard power steering just like that one and yes i removed it. don't really need it in a single axle truck and it kinda danced all over the road like an old Ford Pickup with a work out twin I beam front end. i had the box rebuilt and it still wandered. probably could have tightened it up on the box with the set screw but i took it out. have the whole setup on a shelf, Not For Sale.. haha
  5. sweet Mike. good save. nice old school look to her to. i kinda like the black fenders. go figure ..
  6. looks to be the correct RH Shephard box for a B model. missin the steering wheel and comumn tho but I guess that could be made up. i know when i had power steering in my B is had two more wedges under the springs thought.
  7. id alter yours Bigdog, at least the title and out it in my name . im with rebel on the B815. IF it is in fact original with the 864 I wouldn't alter it. Cliff Sharpe in Nj is an 864 guru and would probably be interested in it for a good price. as rebel said you could probably buy a 237, another truck and restore for the price you could sell that original 815.
  8. not being insulting Alex. there are no good rotten scumbags on this side of the St Lawrence Seaway as well. haha takes all kinds
  9. yup, really good price. im jealous. its worth that in scrap. least it was two weeks ago before prices took a crap. kinda odd to see that 75 gallon round tank with the heavier 517 front axle. I really like the look of the big cab protector on a B. makes me wanna put together a single axle B dumptruck now
  10. that truck doesn't have a thermostat so the shutter SHOULD open when it gets warm enough. depends what temp the shutter stat is also. and I think there is an adjustment on the shutter stat.
  11. agreed. Sacrelidge to pull the V8 out of an original V8 truck. put it on the block and find another B81. they seem to be popping up and can be bought running with a 237 already in them
  12. never seen Franks B42, that looks sweet and pristine. saw his B61 at Springfield. I know it has a R96 Roadranger in it, probably from the factory.
  13. funny you say that Hatcity.... had some Canadian scumbag try to screw me over on a snowmobile like that. wanted to pay me about 2 grand more than I was askin and me return the difference, um I think not GFyourself....
  14. whats the vin number on the frame? 4 or 5 digits after the B61T? must be an 18 speed double over quadbox.
  15. nice truck. im liking the big cab protector. yup you definitely have a little bit of a mutt but most b models are. the frame might be a 57 cause it has the old style front hubcaps but the cab is newer cause the windshield wiper motor is under the hood, the air horns are off to the side and the door tag would read New York,Ny on a 57 not Plainfield Nj. nice truck either way.
  16. just saw it headed west on the NY thruway a few months back. what a waste
  17. definitely good useable parts on both. there are some oddball parts on both that are useable and im betting there is not many LP injected manifolds for old 707's around if any. id say 500 for the pair is more feasible and they would move, especially without knowin the internals. engines usually are not out of a truck unless there is a problem with them, the 707 by itself is a boat anchor but has useable parts on it. the backdrop manifold on the 673 is worth saving along with the aluminum bell housing, pulleys and other parts.
  18. B model next to it. god id hate to drive that LJ across soft ground.
  19. same here. Vinny and I were lost on the bus for the pic.....
  20. I remember I bought some someplace and it wasn't as thick as the Mack stuff. figured it was all the same. some of the old B's has real rubber in between them. it was about as thick as a piece of 3/8's rubber gas line. I have a few NOS packages of that someplace to. was gonna put it in my B model but just didn't look right. I wanna say maybe it was for the earlier ones that just has the welting between the fender and headlight and not stapled to the headlight for the radiator shell.
  21. where the hell is Rudy???????? he has been lookin for one forever. I dunno, I kinda like it as a twin screw. reasonably priced to
  22. yup, nothing like a good ride in the country and smelling some good manure, the slury shit, not so much....
  23. I don't mind manure smell at all Mike. its the liquid piss/slurie shit they spread that' smells god aweful.
  24. what camper?? whats with the R model with the old school stripes in the background Levesole???
