  1. Never been to Lititiz. this will be my first yea so hopefully it will be a good turn out. I don't mind the gold carts for the people who need them but this year at Macungie was way the hell out of hand. maybe its me but seemed everytime I turned around some asshole was on my heels with their damn gold cart and most were young kids that could have been walking . not only that they seemed to have no respect for anyone walking, like they had the right of way.
  2. I agree. some have a 10% buyers and sellers premium. I think Alex Lyon does anyways , so he gets the buyer and the seller, WTF?
  3. never seen a military 673 painted red and they all have weird adapters for the water inlet and outlet. most were rerouted to the passenger side.
  4. yup, im looking for one also.....
  5. nice truck. love the colors also. not so sure I want any part of the Std Seat though......
  6. $2500 Upstate Ny truck to me... little crunchy...
  7. yup has me scratching my head also. that's an odd duck intake.... . whats the diesel Mike? early 673? def not a Lanova, everyone I have seen has the finned exhaust manifold...
  8. kinda odd to see a Camelback trunion very very similar to a Mack. thought that was Patented? kinda a shame to see that nice truck going for scrap actually. even tho im not an a car fan
  9. these guys are right , Bibeau bodies are tough but here in Upstate Ny the floors are fine but the sides rot right off of them if you run them in the winter at all. if its a heated body its even worse. have one on a Dm at work and its been welded right where the stack goes in it.
  10. im with you on that one Mike. hate the Rd hood. never knew why they reused the RD letters either. wasn't the RD suppose to be the heavy R model back in the day? seen two of the Legend R models, both were dumptrucks I believe and both were green. they were at an auction here in upstate ny in Canastota right of the thruway about a year ago. I know they had the hood stripes like a B model in gold trim and had half dogs on the hood with 1965 -2004 on it
  11. gold dogs on the door and round headlights of that Teamster Superdog. looks pretty darn classy to me in white also and I hate white
  12. without knowin the condition id say 1000 each is pretty steep. that along with not having a clue what they came out of and what parts are missing. just my thoughts
  13. exterior Mack green is code 40496. PPG Ditzler code anyways, been that way for years. if you do it in base and clear coat, it makes it a little darker. single stage acrylic enamel or polyurethane enamel makes it a little lighter looking. trust me I know. synthetic enamel is pretty much garbage and should be used to paint the inside of a dumpbox. that's about all its good for and not worth the time wasted putting it on. turns chalky in 6 months and red turns pink.
  14. White had their own engines up til they started using the Reo Gold Comet. the flatheads were Whites own ''Sewing Machine Engine'' as the old timers call them. the Super Power flat head and the Mustang flathead were Whites own. the rear ends were Timkins with the White logo on them. when they used the gold comet engine it was called a Super White Mustang and that was Reo's engine
  15. thanks, ill add some pics tomorrow
  16. i know what the fastest way to shut gearheadgrrls mouth up is but she might bite it off... I don't know what bikers you have seen but me with my B model and about 300 bikers, not just HARLEY riders, did a benefits fund and toy drive for flood victims over the weekend and made a ton of money for them, toys, household goods, everything. some pople lost their whole houses here in upstate ny back in June and president asshole refused to give them Fema help so the state had to step it yet im sure we can send some money to Syria or Africa or some other nation that would rather kill itself off than be productive.
  17. nobody wants cheap rubbers.... can lead to many problems , tires included lol
  18. stewart warner still makes them. Watts sells them or you can just buy them off ebay. they show up on ebay, usually everything but the tach and speedp with the bulldog logo is the only thing diff. everything else is generic
  19. last I knew 10.00 20's were still available. 10.00 22's and 11.00 22's are no longer available.
  20. we have about the same thing in our village, steep building with a 4 way intersection downtown that says Trucks No Turns on about 10 different signs and even hanging above their head. at least once a week we get some dumbass tryin to turn with a 53 foot trailer thru the intersection instead of going down 200 feet and takin the truck route around town. the damn GPS tells them to take a left or right on rt 5s west or east and they just turn and pay no attention to the hanging signs.
  21. I cut him slack don't worry. most of us are not pro truck drivers but just saying you cant force and grind 50 yr old parts. slow and steady, slow and steady, its a Mack, every one I have driven shifts slow unless it has a Roadranger
  22. don't they still have an old R? I know they had a sweet B with homemade vent windows at Springfield and I know they had an R model there just don't remember which one.
  23. at your age Vinster a quick breeze should cause that haha
  24. agreed, im not the best, I can do carpenter work, built houses for 13 years but love truck. don't claim to be a truck driver either, wasn't stepping on anyones tail either but if it doesn't fit, don't jam it, its made to slide in gear with ease. with a little practice, some double clutchin and some work with the throttle pedal he can shift it with ease
  25. I know what your sayin Mike, seen it myself. I had chills just watchin all the gear clashing. gotta take It easy on 50 yr old parts
