yea the RL600S we bought from the junkyard had a 300+ and R1110 tranny in it. some hacked off the rears and put a pete single axle in it made It a dumptruck. we got there just in time cause it is a rebuilt pedigreed engine and was on its way to china. got it for a grand, engine and tranny and made new mounts to put in in my 66 R model. gonna add the hood scoop someday as soon as I figure out how to mount the tubin under the hood to the old style radiator. for now it has the ugly newer style air cleaner with dual inlets. that's as far as we got as id like a set of air ride tandem rears for it with 22'' spokes. think id get away with 4.17's on 22'' spokes with the direct 10 speed Mike or think I should look for a faster set of rears?

yup I know, would look sweet on a set of true 24'' spoke wheels. looks sweet how it is tho

probably a 285 if it has a 6 speed. could be a 300 though. looks like a pretty solid truck. any old R or Dm is getting scarce with the cutthroat exporters around.

true, guess I have to agree myself. some of the newer axle forward Ch's don't look half bad. think it depends on the color. any of the earlier ones with that god aweful aerodynamic plastic bumper looked cheap to me tho. some of the newer ones with chrome texas style bumpers don't look half bad.

that's a mix match of parts. has the 65-67 parking lights next to the headlights and the aluminum panels bolted to the hood but has the 68 and up parking lights in the outside of the fender and a 65-72 cab on it funny thing is it looks like it was originally tan inside??? and someone has changed the rears. you can see it had the old school ear mounted trunion at one time and holy shit that is one tough ass battery box cover to hold up the rear of that truck.

some fat rubber on those stock looking rims. I take it they are 16's and not 16.5's?

this is what I put on mine. found an old tag hanging in the garage that was from 59. these were the ones they use to issue I think to update the plate for the new year. these are the ones my grandfather said they use to have to spotweld or pop rivet to the plate because everyone use to steal them. should have kept them this way instead of the high dollar stickers New York makes us put on the windshield now that wont even stick longer than a month!
