  1. yup 609 would have a END707 or 711. either it still has that and someone doesn't know what it is or its been changed. most time I find B models listed with a 237 cause they are trying to sell it fast with a better engine. in reality it has a turbo 673
  2. nice. paint those wheels RED and it will really look sweet.
  3. who cares about the drivetrain. any Mack engine, tranny and rear will go in there. look at that cab and doors! that's the most solid H model I have ever seen in a junk yard!
  4. haha yup. learn something everyday, least I do. funny because every 711 I have seen had the full flow filter. guess everyone I have been around was a newer version or retried.
  5. never knew, thanks Ron. were they only used on newer 65 and up trucks or something? the engine in my B613 is a 1975 block and is an END707 . it came out of a dumptruck and was clean and I figured it was a short block and someone built it? but later found out the END707 came factory in R models. the Sears Oil truck we have had a 711 in it and is a 1965 and the full flow filter also and a blown main line to the lubrifiner AND a bad rod knocking. im thinking it was all related. I found a relplacement 711 out of a 66 R model that runs excellent and has the full flow filter also but mounted way up high so we had to change the mount to put it in a B model. knew knew, just figured all the 750's were the same until I went to buy a filter for mine.
  6. ? what factory steps? the B75 wrecker has newer steps and tanks on it. the B67 looks pretty original and an easy restoration. has the factory battery box step on pass side which is odd because it has two battery boxes and the factory 75 gallon tank on driver side.
  7. sweet little truck eh Vinny? I been eyeballin that for a few weeks now.
  8. guess I have the number wrong in my head. I know mine has the two big lines, one small one and the cast top holding the filter down. and know the filter was around $40 bucks. all the 711's I have have this same filter. must be they are all full flows then? I have two in trucks and one for parts and they all have the two big lines and the one small return.
  9. thanks! have had a few people tell me it looks good on the green.
  10. I like the lund visors on certain color B's. mine included. something looks funky with the frame on the truck. looks bellied for some reason or maybe its how its sitting. naturally it was probably a single axle tractor stretched out so that's something to look at.
  11. isn't he 750C the one with the gaskets? maybe I have my numbers wrong. I know my END707 has the $37 filter and not the usual $9 dollar 750 lubrifiner filter. mine also has the two large Aeroquip lines and the one smaller 1.2 or 3/8 line I believe.
  12. pretty common for a B42 to be repowered. the 401 was a gutless boat anchor and good for 100,000 miles if you were lucky. ive seen a few with 80 thousand on them on the third engine. they were severly underpowered and overworked. have seen Cummins in them, the 413 Chrysler which was a Mack rememdy and kit for replacing the tired 401, have even seen a 549 International stuffed under the hood with the pipes turned up and cut right thru the hood. honestly your best bet if you want a b61 is to find a B42 doner for parts such as sheet metal. they were usually repowered or parked in the weeds . plus the gas job B models didn't ''chafe'' as bad as the Diesels cause they didn't shake as bad and wear out the sheet metal around the hood and cowl. some B42's depending on if it was a tractor or heavy spec could have enough springs to hold up a diesel. a stock B42 tractor had 8 leaf front springs where a stock B61 tractor would have 11. some even had 9 and 12 on the ditch side to take care of the crown in the road. most any fron axle will work as they had 505's and 517's and 522's available in all of them.
  13. my brother is callin on this truck. truckin back to New York might be a problem though.
  14. yea but the hood scoop just looks cool haha.
  15. they use to have a B61 they use to bring to Macungie years ago
  16. slow? ill take everygood running 237 no one wants, I have a few tired 673's and 711's id like to replace. might not be a speed demon but drive a 170hp 673 and tell me how slow it is...

  18. wish it was about 2 grand cheaper.... whats with these old Lowboys? prices are out of this world on them lately. Christ a newer Hydraulic ones brings about the same as an old fixed neck one
  19. I remember seein that truck down there. the Baltimore Maryland show was a flop tho
  20. yup the B57 I looked at years ago had the Rockwell front axle. I believe the b57 was pretty much a tandem B67 . also remember it had a Beige steering wheel. cant find a picture of the truck tho.
  21. seen a lot of weird dashes in B models over the years, seen gas jobs with tach and Diesels without to. seen a Blt with a Pyrometer and the tach on the left and the little gauges in the middle to.
