  1. should mount right to the side of the block, its a generic lever driven AC pump driven off the camshaft. here is a picture with the belt driven air compressor and the bracket that bolts across the head. also shows what the air cleaner should be like.
  2. most B30's had juice brakes so they didn't have an air compressor and 99% of everyone I have seen had a small oil bath air cleaner on top of the carb similar to an old Ford truck. I have seen a few with air compressors but they were belt driven and mounted to the top of the head as the 331 didn't have an opening in the backside of the timin case like the 401's did. they also didn't have the external air cleaner and the tube thru the firewall like most B models did. I have seen someone put a 401 in a B20 with juice brake. they simly took the air compressor off, removed the drive pulley and replaced the air compressor so the oil would run thru it.
  3. i sent a pm yesterday, no response......
  4. where was the box company out of Terry? my cousin has a white R that looks about identical to one of the ones in the last pic. his is an 88 with a 300 and 5 speed and is about mint. came from a cardboard and box company out of New Hampshire.
  5. the pinion seals I was talking about I mean. any Napa should have the lubrifiner o ring and a little dab of permatex helps those to
  6. don't think youll find the front one anywhere else and its worth putting a new rubber in the front. the rear can be bought at any glass shop. its just generic window channel with a locking strip. you can even use the newer style that has the built in lockin strip.
  7. ive taken those apart before where the Mack garage actually put two seals in back to back before to stop it from leaking. my grandfathers B42T is like that.
  8. 6000 or 8000 series? I sold one a few years ago to someone on this board that came out of my B model. was complete with 5 speed tranny, shifting levers, brownie 3 speed and the hangers and the linkage for the auxillary shifter and the mount to mount the brownie to the 4 holes in B model crossmember. sold it all for $500 bucks
  9. wow, almost felt like I was under there getting greasy with you haha. ive seen those nuts bolts hand tight and so tight you had to heat them a little to get them loose. have seen where the last guy used #2 permatex on the splines or high tack to keep the grease from seeping out also. that makes for an interesting time getting the yolk off.
  10. yup ,when I took that picture I was probably 14 yrs old and John was still runnin that old B81 everyday. told me a story where a loader operator was being smart and tryin to hit it with the bucket, slipped and put a gouge across the bumper of that B model. needless to say he jumped out from behind the wheel to take care of business....
  11. it was a Youtube video. had a F600 or something Ford moving gravel for the building of the NYS thruway. I thought for sure it was mentioned on here or ATHS or Just old trucks, just cant remember where. I mentioned it to someone and they wanted to see it but I cant locate it. only one I can find is the Ford Farming one we had on here from Levittstown
  12. if you live in New York, youd know where the votes came from. all the welfare scum I drive by everyday on my way home from work after sweating my ass off. they vote for him cause they don't want their welfare taken away, viscious cycle. I think these idiots want 2/3 of the population on welfare and government programs so they can control them.
  13. ok guys im tryin to find a link and cant remember if it was posted on here or ATHS or Just old Trucks site. it was a link to when they built the New York State Thruway and showed a 53 or so ford dump truck haulin dirt for the Thruway. this was in the past 2 or 3 months and cant seem to remember where the link was or which site.
  14. k, wrong guy, still nice truck
  15. hmm, seems the auction company will probably make the killin also. i always like the body lines of those Impala's. not much for the Corvettes after they got rid of the chrome from and rear bumpers and went to plastic tho. Sears Oil was said to have some brand new R models in the hangers but when I asked one of the kids about it they didn't wanna know anything haha. they were known for buyin 10 trucks, registerin and runnin 5 and putting the other 5 in the back hangers . the old man had the idea he was saving money cause when those 5 were worn out in 5-6 years he had the other ones to use up and he figure he bought them cheaper than he could replace them after. only problem was 6 , 8 or 10 years later it was hard to make someone drive an old Brockway with a 318 or a B model with a 673 when everyone else had big power.
  16. old picture from the motel in Macungie around 1993 or so. believe this is/was his B81
  17. why does that color scheme looks so familiar?? kinda reminds me of the U model sales brochure picture. nice little truck.
  18. that Stine truck is sweet, he was parked about 4 spots down from me. and I think that dark blue tandem has a 300+ under the hood.
  19. think they were sold out of those at one time. do they have the 36'' ones for a dumptruck In stock or just the short ones? I hate that my flaps don't face each other, but I cant find a set of Mack flaps to fit my fender( I have to cut them off to fit my half fenders or else they rub the ground.)
  20. looks like you were practicing on that frame stretch with the small scale truck there Larry before you got into the real deal with the B . ive always wanted one of those money pits to but have too many full scale projects.
  21. that's a sweet truck and nice trailer. hope you guys didn't change it all around with new runnin gear..
  22. yucky. probably has a Cumapart in it to with those Dodge fenders, headlights, bumpers and probably frame
  23. was just flipping thru some pictures tonite and ran across one of his black and red B81 dump from Macungie years ago. everything he had was spotless. that B87 was at Macungie a few years back also.
