  1. no Matt, no Vinny. I blame it on the bus driver riding the shit out of the brakes on the way back from the Mack Museum....
  2. wow if we are short from Superdog pics, I hope someone else loads some of from Macungie. I didn't bring a camera but I think every Superdog in Pa was at Macungie. even the pearl white Magnum which I drool over and a 650 horse one in the Mack Museum.
  3. not annoying, glad I could be of company. we both missed the group photo cause the bus was late from the Mack Customer Center. driver was riding the shit out of thebrakes and had them stuck and smoking once. had a great time,
  4. brought the laptop? and we have free WiFi at the Hawthorne Suites Vinster. even walked a mile down the road last night to the Fogelsville Hotel for some great food and a few shots of Canadian Club I mean soda..
  5. plenty of John Haines trucks at Macungie today and sister company trucks, one B61 mixer that was pretty sweet and his usual perfect restored B61X
  6. I always liked the movie version of the song better myself...
  7. the 82 Superdog we had in the yard had a E9 440 in it with a straight 5. motor was just overhauled. sold it for peanuts just before the whole V8 thing took off.
  8. yea the piece of shit design they had after was horrible with the 3/8 nutsert that was over the rain gutter that always breaks loose inside the cab and you have to drop the headliner to hold onto it or put a nut on it. plus the odd shaped mirror bracket looks like it belonged on some brand X throw away truck.
  9. yup always hated how the pass door of a B61 with a turbo air cleaner didn't open far enough. I like the looks of the stack but they are hard to find. Tidewater use to sell them brand new. on a side note our Dm at work is a 72 and has the mirror mounted to the drip rail and cab, kinda cobbled up if you ask me. a few older ones we scrapped 68 and 69 DM's they were mounted to the air cleaner stack. Larry I agree with the vent window hitting. my B61 has the 'Tophat' style air cleaner bonnet and not the round hubcap lookin one and the vent window hits it when opened all the way. was gonna change it but I like the tophat style. thought about adding an extension but never seen the extension with the tophat style bonnet either.
  10. I believe standard B models were 21 or 22 inches, cant remember, I know this one is 19 or 20 inches and will fit a standard B model shaft. the smaller trucks had a 1'' shaft and the rest had 1 1/8 or 1/4 I think, cant remember but this one has the bigger shaft.
  11. I think its leaning twards the left........ and I saw Vinny over this past weekend, hes not a little man anymore
  12. no admission charge, I think you need to pay the boyscounts or the fire dept for parkin, either way its a good donation
  13. Lowes is pretty much all China junk to and a lot of their lumber is imported. makes me sick to look at a piece of ''pine'' molding that they want top dollar for thats made in indionesia. most if not all of their hardward, nuts and bolts is all China junk to. cant tell you how many time ive had a stainless nut and bolt, not locknut, tightened it up and took it apart a few months later and it would not loosen up and snapped the bolt right off.
  14. have a 20'' B model steering wheel that will fit a standard B61/B42 column (the bigger shaft column) I will be bringing it to Macungie and would like to not bring it home.it is Beige in color and is in pretty decent shape. it might need a few minor cracks filled and its a little dirty colored and might need a paint job. askin $400 or BO. anyone interested can send me a PM or gimme a call 315 868 3173, Matt
  15. all the E9 V8 Superdogs I have seen had the ugly huge under hood round air cleaner across the top of the engine. the one we had with a 440 in it had the under hood air cleaner.
  16. have not seen the New England Motor Freight B42 since Syracuse in 03. that Red B61 in the first set of pictures along with the Harrington B model are really nice, even like the colors
  17. agreed, id already be in my truck with the hammer down and my lawyer on speed dial, JUST in case I needed him
  18. yup looks like a B53 with the straight axle. would seem right as most B53's I have seen were cement trucks or dump trucks and had weird specs like a 10 speed overgear transmission and power steering and the fishbelly frame. cant tell in the pics if that truck has the fishbelly frame but either way its a sweet truck
  19. yup that black dump is badass, all it needs is round headlites. that red Guglielmini truck looks sweet with the tracton tire on the front axle to
  20. looks like a B53 to me. all the B53's had that style hub with a straighter front axle. I like the motor and transmission combo and,. that fender probably could be fixed if it had to be. the older B models had heavier fenders and doors. youll know cause you need a ball peen hammer to fix a dent rather than a body hammer. after around 62 they cheapened up the doors and fenders.
  21. agree, always liked the older style better like the style used in older jackhammers rather than the newer flat style with that are in the blue and red gladhands.
  22. the B67 is sweet. wher eis everyone findin old style 10.00 20's?? looks like it has all new rubber on it.
  23. agree, id much rather pay a little more for something made here and something I don't have to replace cause it quit workin or broke 6 months down the road. I constantly look at everything I buy to see where its made and will pay a little more for a made in the usa logo. one of the reason I rarely go to Walmart , I hate just about everything in there cause besides the food its all china junk. also try not to buy anything from Lowes except lumber because its mostly china junk, not suprising since Lowes and Walmart are connected. I absolutely hate going into Walmart at holiday time and seein box after box of holiday stuff all imported from China.
  24. yea me to, one piece at a time. I get a last streak or have to work on the house so I cant always tinker with trucks haha. I think we have reached our maximum occupancy for trucks. don't have time for too many more but would like to save a few more.
  25. lookin for a good R model power steering box to fit an old style R model frame. 66-72
