  1. yup lots of stories and can tell ya where every part came from haha. the yellow tractor was actually a tandem dump we luckily got from out neighbor and saved from the scrapper, also got the light yellow one to but it was cut behind the cab so we put it on a single axle double frame and repowered it with a 673 and trd67 10 speed. the painted up yellow one still has a flathead gas and 14 speed baby quad. the red tractor I bought as a package deal, has a complete NOS nose on it fenders and inner fenders and hood, cab is a little rough. we repowered this with a 673 and 10 speed duplex also. no tow truck picture Vinny???? the R model is a 1966 and I repowered it with a 300+ and 10 speed roadranger. im currently lookin for a power steering box for it to fit the old style R model frame if anyone know of one. that's the hold up with that project. too many projects too little time and money but we have saved quite a few from the scrappers. going up to a yard next week to try to save a few B and R parts that these guys have about 6 trucks they are cutting up.
  2. that little old R is sweet. she needs some love
  3. yup, im not worried, been thru the mud deal at Macungie before. im sure someone will have a wrecker to pull us out haha
  4. looks similar to the sleeper that was on the 1st B model Mack add on sleeper cabs
  5. nope no fighting at all... I said I would make them PROUD bondoing my fifth wheel plate. I look forward to all the updates on the Brockway site of the Sears truck. would love to find one myself someday as we have a Sears Oil B61LT in our collection now that we bought at the auction.
  6. we are not even gonna touch that one Rudy, you live 10 min from Macungie and last year was your first show........hmmmm
  7. nice, never seen a DMM with the newer style square 'ugly' hood. I remember the 1st time I went to Macungie about 20 years ago for the show and the whole back lot was FULL of R models still, old school R models and Dm's and Rm's
  8. not going anywhere without a fuel tank Vinny....
  9. who cares about the rain. after the Macungie Mudbog a few years ago and getting soaked at Springfield, that shouldn't bother us anymore! I am bringing my work boots tho to Macungie, got stuck with shorts an sneakers the year of the mudbog! and the guy sellin umbrellas must have retired after
  10. my grandfather said the old WC22T Whites with flathead gasjobs and split manfolds would get cherry red when pullin a hill. he said at night you could open the hood and it looked like you could stick a crowbar right thru the manifolds and when it rained the hoods use to be so hot the rain steamed right off the hood and it would be dry. they would outpull a B61 on a hill to.
  11. nope didn't mean any harm but when YOU ask about a serial number its pretty hard to find it or us to tell you where it is when its probably on its way to China. and most states wont let you register an old truck like that without a pencil etchin of the original serial number
  12. I have the same trailer, about 1953 vintage. wanna paint it up to match my B. its an ex Gerosa trailer and I have been lookin high and low for a set of landing gear like that. mine has newer style square ones that someone cobbed on there.
  13. yup, show is next weekend. im still diligently workin. nothing like tearin the B apart a few days before the show haha. repainting the fenders, cleanin and repainting the rims
  14. my cousin called the other day American Collectors insurance and I guess they are no longer doing big truck..... this sounds all too familiar. they might add a truck to an existing policy tho, who knows. depends on who you talk to there probably. some people don't know their jobs
  15. i remember the 1st year I went to Macungie, about 20 years ago..... Tidewater mack was just getting into the B model parts thing. they had a stack of about 20 original B model battery boxes, top and bottoms. god to turn back the clock. who knew??
  16. we had one of those! have a few beers and try to stay on that sucker!
  17. the serial number is stamped IN the frame ABOVE the rear spring hanger. hackin the frame off and scrappin it will pretty much make the truck unregisterable
  18. yup. in Ny its 25 years to be an antique or and I think 30 years to be historical
  19. ? this truck is actually really solid, needs a complete restore but runs excellent after I got it runnin. could use a valve job and this B model never had a bell..... had a siren that's been long gone.
  20. should be the same as a B61/B42.
  21. thought the R700 with standard hood got replaced with the Superdog in 78???
  22. ha, difficult. need to change the cowl and everything else. looks like the later style heavy spec R600 hood . think the only different is the back fender cut outs. might be a few inches long to due to the air to air being in front of it.
  23. shes an early one to, B model FA505 front axle and the short back on the cab
  24. either way its a nice truck. looks like a darker shade of Mack green also. was their such a thing beside the normal Mack green?
  25. didnt the line on the back of the fenders that went all the way around start in 77 or so and the hood scoop?
