  1. plannin on leavin with the B early friday morning, would like to be at Macungie around 10ish. the fiance and i are stayin at the Hawthorne Suites and usually have lunch at the macungie pub either friday or sat. might have a few adult beverages with us at the show WITH a coozie of course and only if i leave the truck there. been going to the show off and on for 20 years and this is the first year i am bringin a truck. hope to see u all there
  2. wow is that a nice R. shame to see that parted out. id take the whole truck
  3. yup, no pics, no advice haha, i have said that before along with others. also location?
  4. nice, budd wheels and it looks like a 673 stuffed in there
  5. seems everyone in New York state is haulin garbage with walkin floor trailers now. heard many a horror stories at the dump and bad things happening, leakin can of paint drippin on driveshaft and all over the back of the cab of a brand new Western Star, gettin stuck and they come pull you out with the dozer and hook onto whatever they can, also heard a guy ran over an old set of bedsprings and got them wrapped around the driveshaft, took him half the day to cut them off by himself, no one would help.
  6. nice. just a little much. i remember when i pulled the 413 out of my B613. tried to put it on a regular store bought engine stand, bent thant sucker right down to the ground haha. had to build my own. i envy the forktruck! always wanted a big forktruck with 10 20 tires on it
  7. never seen a 6.67 ratio myself, usually its 4.64 or 5.46 or something. either way 6.67 would have came out of a gas job and would do about 35 mph in a diesel truck
  8. sweet truck. why are all the nice ones so far away??
  9. the middle bowl i think has holes all around it? cant remember, some are different i know the turbo ones with the bonnet on top have a bown in the middle, think the one like you have are designed to have the new oil in the outerring and the 'dirty oil' thats used for filterin settles in the middle.... cant remember now. either way they oil bath was no where near as good as the paper type that Watts or Donaldson sells now but you would need the cab mount and fiberglass tube to change it over.
  10. in that case Mike, i have about 5 grand worth of your trucks, trailers and van trailers in Diecast haha
  11. gotta agree. cant stand any new country that they force down our throats and play fifteen times a day. cant stand when the country mudic awards come on and they award someone whos song was played day in and day out 20 times a day for a year. 'of course they wont, they didnt have any competition!' id even settle for 10 and 20 year old country, dont even hear Alabama or Hank Jr or any of that stuff anymore
  12. we have an old 1979 225 at work. pretty good machine for an old girl. has a bad hydraulic leak somewhere tho, cab floor is all oil haha. we had a newer 312 to that was a pretty nice machine to run to. someone wanted it worse tho and gave 36 grand for it. we buy, sell and rent equipment at work. always something to fix
  13. all the windows are flat glass and i think all the window mouldings are generic . you should not have any problem with any of that.unlike B Models where i think the front window rubber is made of gold along with the vent windows
  14. got a picture of that whole B61Sx fifth wheel??
  15. yup, that truck is sweet. had the same long square tanks our R model has at work. that ones probably in nigeria
  16. yup, A models are getting scarce and a tandem is even rarer. save her
  17. could be right if it was JUST a lowboy tractor
  18. yup, me to, i always stop at Penn Cann everytime i got to Macungie, they make the best choc shakes around haha. why cant any of the newer trucks have nice paint and letterin on the truck and trailer anymore?? seems everything was better 20-40 years ago. think i missed out
  19. or some of my favorites, my B613T doind some 'action' and my grear grandfathers 1st Mack, 1955 B62SX with 22'' rubber 464 gas and a 5 and 3 auxillary. the rest of the B62's he bought after this one all had quadboxes and heavy Cresci boxes. this one had log bunks welded in the side of the box when it was brand new. this pictures was taken i think up in Vinny's neck of the woods where there use to make wooden dishes and spoons. the ''Big wooden Bowl'' after haulin logs out of Long Lake Ny
  20. think ive seen that somewhere before... haha how about this one Vinster?? both of them together.... or this one of Doug going to Springfield
  21. they dont play shit on the radio anymore, country or rock, its all sindicated bullshit. our country and rock stations play the exact same songs everyday and our one country station that played nothin but old stuff and some new recently changed to all new. sucks. i miss the good old stuff. always liked whos gonna fill their shoes and the corvette song myself. the new country artists are nothin but tv celebrities. now Jamey Johnson is badass but im sure Nashville will shun him out eventually cause he doesnt fit what the think people wanna hear today. kinda like they did with Waylon. sad to hear about old George. gotta love a good old boy who can say he got a DWI on his lawnmower haha
  22. pretty sure thats the Duke, before the budd front axle
  23. just think if noone buys it and he scraps it, that will be one less parts truck also....
  24. theres an A model nose and fenders on Craigslist right now in CT or Mass. they arent terribly hard to find parts for just a little harder than a B or R model. most any B model engine i believe would fit in an A model with a little work, i have even seen a 237 in one somewhere. the A models had the same basic overheard Valve block that some B models used so its not that hard to retorfit another engine in one, as far as i know a DT466 IH engine will not even fit in a B model without major modification. the water pump is too long to fit in a B model unless you move the engine back and modify the firewall.
