    no more than a B model, they are basically the same axles and most likely are. i would say that truck weighs about 7 ton myself and thats on the heavy side. i kinda like the A series myself. good save i think if you buy it and its a reasonable price with the engine

    could be. never looked close. the holes also look different than any other rim i have seen. maybe a UPS thing?

    i was gonna say the same thing about the cars on the car carrier. bet they pulled it out and delivered them to the lot and hosed them off. now a days there would be a company rep there and everything would need to be photographed and scrapped. i remember years ago a train derailed here in upstate ny with cars. factory sent people to cut the batteries out and destroy them and the tires. didnt want anything useable going to the junkyard.

    yup 8 speeds were popular with gas jobs. my grandfathers 58 WC22T had the bigger gas engine with a 10 speed step o matic originally that was junk and the White Garage replace it with an 8 speed RR when the truck was about a year old. still have the truck . was sold and bought and sold and bought and traded for one of our original B42T's that was in a junkyard then bought back again and sold, then we found it again in the paper for sale 25 years later, knew it was the same truck cause it had the 8 speed listed in the paper

    theres just something about those UPS trucks with the blacked out rims that look badass. are they just standard Alcoa's painted black?

    yup 78 and back and its definately an R700 and a Western, has the signature White steering wheel

    wow seems all those ex Government trucks had weird specs. like Cat or Cummins V8's . and look at the air tanks way in the back

    yup that wrecker was at Auburn. same guy owns that that owns that pristing red R410 with the 414 Chrysler wedge block that was at Balston Spa Ny a few years ago

    they werent hard to come by 10 years ago. thats what makes you cry. tidewater mack use to have complete brand new noses, fenders and hoods and bumpers for them. i like that green B75. looks sweet with steel wheels on it to. id drive it how it was

    wow thats a sweet truck, has a funky auxillary tranny to. looks like a lot of sandblastin to me. id prolly put some windshields in it and spray her down with kerosene to make it shine and drive it around how it is

    are you runnin a 237 Al? or did you put a 237 turbo on the old engine? id like to turbo my 711 but dunno. also did you repaint the dash of the BCR Al? and if so do you have a paint code?

    i have the same problem when i redo a B model. cant stop takin one apart until its down to the last bolt or assembly just so i can clean it better and make it nicer. the other half says thats why i take so long to do a home renovation project because im to anal.....

    82 had air to air to. least ours does at work unless its not really an 82, but it had the tan interior and the tin grille just bolted to the air to air

    yup def IH tanks. our 82 R600 at work has square tanks, but they are the long square ones. its an ex Ryder rental truck and to me that truck looks like it to. its their specs, budd wheels, 300 intercooled with a 9 speed roadranger. but i think those were common back then . that Black truck could be the twin. it definately looks a little bit of a mutt tho, has the newer 90's R model style cheapo marker lights.

    that mean shes a V8 and runnin on old cookin oil??

    takin hinges off cab? theres 3 bolts per hinge. both the top and bottom hinges have 3 bolts, the top has an extra bracket that bolts to higne and backside of dash with a 5/16th bolt and the bottom hing has a hidden bolt thru the center of it you can reach with a long extension. goes right thru the backside of the hinge. you can see it with the door opened.
