  1. god dont you love the guys that want to sell something sooooo bad but have something for sale at an unrealistic price for condition and wont dicker and give you the age old line,''if i dont sell it im gonna scrap it or export it'' ok then scrap it or export it? i dont care, just makes the ones left worth more money.
  2. yup, sweet truck. id love that have that one Mike hint hint haha
  3. that 56 Ford was sweet. looked it over up and down at Macungie when it was there and it also has one of most perfect 'roller Cresci'' boxes i have ever seen, must have hauled topsoil or pillow fluff all its life haha. i also like the T series Fords from the sixtys. my grandfather had a red one with i think a 477 and the nice white steering wheel and headliner in it with a 5 and 3 speed with a Loadking belly dump on it.
  4. still no interest in these? i hate to put them on evilbay and have to pay those people a sellers share
  5. doesnt Yarnell's R700 have a similar black and yellar paint job as that R6??
  6. wow that B75 is something else with the L cab. chrome dayton rims and all.looks like someone filled the holes on the hood tho and added R model chrome
  7. wow that blue western r is sweet , well actually think it was Valueliner by then
  8. funny no LG Defelice has surfaced yet..
  9. Black gold? your tellin me. that stuff is definalty like gold around here. usually someone has ties with the state or something and ends up with a big pile in their yard that they just happen to have room for and resell it. one local truckin company was letting the state store the grinding in their yard last year until the guys pile ended up a lot bigger than the states piles and they loaded it all up and moved it somewhere else. i know a few local contractors that run in back thru a paver really slow and it layes down pretty smooth for a base as long as its fresh. if you let it sit for months in a pile its all clumps and a pain to work with.
  10. someone has reworked her a little but every Mack has been. it has the marker lights in the headlight panels but also on the sides of the fenders so someone did this. i think they were only in the headlight panels for 2-3 years 65-67 or 68 i think. kinda like the B model dog on the hood haha. looks pretty nice except probably didnt come with a Cumapart in it
  11. we have a Ford just like that at work 74 F750 except it has a 390 with a 5 speed clark. tops out about 45 mph and gets about negative 2 miles per gallon haha. except you can put a 9 ton trailer behind it, with a load of item 4 in the box and a 450 John Deere on the trailer and it will pull it up a hill sideways
  12. yup must happen all over. thought it was just around here. rough ass roads forever, they finally repave them then we get a shitty patch job with either a hump or a low spot. sometimes if its near the weekend and they dont feel like puttin down blacktop we get to drive over crusher run in the hole for 2-3 weeks before they decide to coat it with top.
  13. 98? dunno if i wanna see that in a B model. i have had her up to 78 tho against the governor. all shes got haha. steerin wheel shakes a little at 75-78 tho haha. still has a 54 year old 50mph front axle under her haha
  14. is Nj anything like New York State? ride on the roughest roads possible and they grind and recoat the ones that dont need it while the other dont get done? or how about its roagh as a bastard forever, full of patches and potholes and then they finally grind it up and the followin year they are cuttin holes in it fixin gas lines and water lines and manhole cover, ugh! or heres a classic, Rifenburg did a bunch of jobs locally this past summer, one of them being Rt 5. well it was one of them that was rough as hell forever. then repave it and roll it down with a nice vibratory roller right thru town that had 100 year old water lines runnin thru it. they have been cuttin the new pavement and fixin water leaks ever since.
  15. dunno Vinster, that R model is in a lot better shape than the old one they had, no windshields or doors and painted the same way, with a brush, think there use to be 3-4 Generals there years ago. i remember when C Weaver Chevrolet was there and Dale Earnhardt came to sign autographs and i was out checkin out the trucks while waitin in line. the REAL Dale Earnhardt to... not Jr
  16. Rob shows up time to time. he is over on the Just old Trucks site more i think
  17. they usually dont mill off that much, what was it about 4 inches below the surface?????
  18. poor old R Vinster, that has been there for ever, least 10 years that i remember. even had that custom woodgrain dash in it like an old Brockway...
  19. crash the gate doin 98....? i would be happy enough to park my B on the same grounds she came from 54 years ago......
  20. i know where there are about 7 of those AC's with Lorain cranes and Northwests on them. guy wont part with them and think they are gonna be topsoil someday as Vinny says
  21. isnt that International an M model? or was the M model a 6 x 6? i know alot of towns in NYS had M models at one time i think they were state bid. most were speced with 220 Cummins power and a 5 and 3 or 5 and 4 two stick tranny
  22. definately was a road tractor, still has the valves in the dash
  23. Larry (Freightrain) is runnin a FA517 and has done the kingpins, im sure he will chime in maybe even with numbers
  24. oops, seems im pissin alot of guys off lately haha, just my opinion,i cant stand when they paint everything white at a used truck lot
  25. im wonderin what kinda Computer print out or calculations they had back in the late 60's?????? yea turnin the odometer back was a good one also. here one to think about... recently my brother in law underwent a heart transplant in Upstate Ny, after a heart transplant, they give you a NEW birthday i found out??? just think have to go 21 more years to be able to drink again haha
