  1. looks like a converted road tractor to me with thrown on front tires and light rears . better make sure its a double frame for a dump truck. god i hate when people paint the whole hub, rims and spacers garbage truck white all together cause they are too lazy to do it right
  2. dunno think there are plenty 'young' women around in their late teens and early 20's that could use their ''stop'' tightened up a little. seems with the casual sex now a days they dont care. boy how things have changed in the past few years when you actually had to date someone to get happy time. now its more like a chanllenge to the younger generation to see how many different bedrooms they can leave their footprints in haha
  3. gotta agree sanding is the answer. never really liked acid wash myself. i have used them all myself. have some Speedy right now in the cabinet. worst shit i have ever used was Mothers mag and aluminum polish. might look good for a few days and thats it. anyone got any opinions on what to polish the stainless machine finish fenders on the back of my B with? everything i use is either a pain in the ass, comes off hard or leaves smears.
  4. its all there, cept cab is beyond shot. you can literally stand up inside and lift the roof off. has some beauiful period correct green shag carpet inside to lol. R609 right Vinster? 711 with a 10 speed duplex., single frame R600ST
  5. one of my fav R models of all time. R600ST none the less. needs a cab and it would be perfect
  6. the serial number should read B61LTXXXXX on it if its a true BLT. most had aluminum springs hangers in the rear and the aluminum tanks, some just had the 75 gallon on the driverside tho to. there were many variations, some BLT's didnt have front brake and had aluminum front spring hangers, flush bumpers also. most had alumuminum bell housings and trandmission cases and i have seen at least one with an aluminum steering column and hood and the steering column brace that goes from the cowl to the column under the dash was aluminum also.
  7. yea that is a clean old survivor. dunno why it was listed on ebay so many times, guess the guy wanted too much to begin with? its nice to start with clean truck like that. i like the old school steel buds to. would be nice to find some 5 hand hole one for the front.
  8. last i remember it it was in his chicken coop garage and he was workin on an L model puttin fire trucck fenders on it. think it had to be about 10-12 years old. i was about 17 when his auction happened and i dont remember seein the truck or where it went to, all i rememeber is his L models and his one blue H model.
  9. god Mike i thought Bob theimers truck was a blue color? but then of course i was about 10 years old las time i seen it. where did it end up????
  10. D427 i assume that truck is a BLT61? i see it has the aluminum tanks and rear aluminum spring hangers.
  11. Tackaberry is from Canada, Athens actually, has a huge collection of perfect trucks
  12. the yellow H model made it to the Tackabery collection after that also along with the Mountaineer Brockway
  13. yea, those are original fuel tanks and the right one is like a hens tooth to find actually. the older B tractors had two air tanks, one inside the frame rail on left side behind the battery box and one that hung off brackets below it. it was a bitch with the one inside the frame to mount a dump box or anything so i think around 58 Mack moved it to the back crossmember and put just one large tank on. then around 62 they changed the large tank again and made it a total two chanber tank with a hose on top movin air from one side to other. makin the first part a wet tank. i think the older large tanks had the two chambers but had the baffle in middle with holes between them instead of the hose on the top of the tank. the back tank was still in the way cause if you wanna mount a pintle hitch its in the way
  14. think that one B57 that was in wheels of time or double clutch for sale a few years back had about a 10,000 price tag
  15. or ride in the jump seat of an R model with factory AC. god damn heater box left no room for your left leg!
  16. well it all ended this am. FBI and Troopers sent in the K9 dog in which the asshole shot it and then they opened fire on him. too bad a german shephard police dog had to be killed but i guess better than a human life and at least they killed the bastard and we dont have to suppot his ass for 30 years
  17. ?? that truck has original fuel tanks on it, least the driver side is. forgot what it has on the pass side. i know i looked at it before. does have a U or R model air tank on it and in the wrong spot for a B model tractor. think around 57 or 58 they moved the tank to the back crossmember which is a horrible spot for it if you ever wanna put a hitch on the back, the air tank is in the way. seen alot of guys move them to the side.
  18. one guy was a 20 yr veteran corrections officer, was just on the news, think its on cnn news. and the governor was just on tv sayin they dont wanna rush things and get anyone else hurt. so they are waiting for it to get dark and make it worse? god with our technology we should have an inferred sniper there to pick this asshole off. now its a standoff in an abandoned building
  19. i see an old B model lurkin back there amongst those A cars....
  20. i dunno. Mohawk is like Mayberry, shit like this just doesnt happen around here. and they still have not found the guy and im sure when they do they will coddle him and give him whatever he needs then put him in some psychiatric center instead of simply puttin a shell in his head amd savin the state alot of money.
  21. well looks like my hometown Mohawk Ny made the national news.Mohawk is about a mile away from Ilion Ny where the Remington Arms company is. in other words small town usa has some crazy psycho gunman shoot some people at a local car wash and then the local barber shop. 4 dead, 6 injured and troopers all over the place, guy is 64 years old and they cant find him as of 3 pm today. what a society. they will probably convict him and put him in the looney bin anyways instead of shootin him point blank on the spot and savin us all kinds of money. theres my rant for the day
  22. i looked over that white Magnum at Macungie last year. gotta say its pristine top to bottom. think its actually pearl white with a lot of coats of clear on it and it really pops at ya.
  23. i know Dellwood Foods that ran out of Herkimer Ny had some R models back in the day with over a million miles on an original 237 and 711. then they were usually gone thru and the trucks bondoed up and ran again. some of their trucks has 2 and 3 million miles on them haulin double milk trailers up and down the NYs Thruway to New York City. the R models only had 5 speeds behind the 237's and a few of the drivers said they would only downshift it twice, once out of Herkimer pullin the 'Summit' out of Little Falls and again pullin the hill outside of Amsterdam Ny, then it was straight to 5th gear to NYC.
  24. second B model from the right looks like the one on Ebay. same turbo air cleaner, short elbow on the stack and the larger square water tank above the cab.
  25. only modification betweeen a 401 and 402 is 2 more head bolts in the corners of the head. everything else was the same. after a while you couldnt get 401 heads and many of my grandfathers 401's have 402 heads with an open hole. there were many variations and most of the B421's didnt have oil coolers on the block and had the cheap timing cover front mounts and the channel iron front motor frame mount instead of the heavier cast i beam saddle mount of the b42's. most B421's also had a single frame with fish plates , ''backbreaker'' 3 leaf walkin beam rears instead of Camelbacks and one fuel tank. there are variations with Mack as we scrapped a B421 that had a heavy FA517 front axle instead of a lighter one. believe the 291,331, 401 and 402 were all Continental design engines. think the only real Mack gassers were the overhead valve Thermodynes
