yea the smaller trucks B30, B20 usually had smaller 20'' black wheels, i have a beige 20'' with the bigger splined shaft that will fit any standard B61 for sale. also have a beige and green 22'' one with the smaller shaft in the middle that came off a B42 with the smaller steering column and the other off a power steering truck. there were many variables i think. one of out B42Sx's my great grandfather replaced the original wheel that was broken bad back in the 60's and he ended up getting a beige one. no real rhyme or reason i dont think. id love to find a white R model steerin wheel for my R600

did that Harness come from Top of Hill trucks? they were makin harnesses for years and were top notch quality and spot on original. i have put one it before and it was really nice. little pricy tho as i think it was 1200 bucks or something

yea, my B613 had the hole with the pushed out metal where the Emergency engine stop was on the left of the dash. think they did away with those around 1960. i have one of those cables somewhere used actually but most of the injection pumps i have dont have the provision to hook it up.

hard to get ''Black Beauty'' here in Ny anymore. its the best in my opinion but i use to pay 3-6 bucks a 100lb bag for it and now its like 21 bucks a back so everyone carries the cheaper stuff. its black slag, but doesnt cut and clean like black beauty did. i usually just take my bigger pieces to a blastin place. the smal stuff i dont mind but for time and money its cheaper in the long run to have someone do it whos set up for it with an industrial blaster and they recycle the sand.

thought Bandits trucks had a 3406 Cat in it? thats why Jerry Reed wears a Cat hat? dunno, Charles Napier could drive, he did some grindin on that old quadbox in Moonfire tho haha. think he drove truck in some of the Dukes of Hazzard episodes to.

they were in the B models and the early R models. they were available up til a few years ago, Barry here at Watts and Tidawater Mack use to sell them but i think they are NLA. would like to get a few spare myself for a few project trucks as i dont care for the newer style red knob.

yea, ill be paintin my 66 R600 wheel off white when i do it also. have a perfect black one from the RS600L i got the 300+ and RR out of at the junkyard but i hate black wheels. im a western wheel guy i guess lol. and im workin on redoin my B613 wheel. have it in primer, hasnt been on the truck for about 7 years. i redid the truck and put on on Doug Fetterly gave us with a truck that was green. im kinda partial to the Beige wheels in B models. just a little different, kinda like the B models that have the old style black emblem on the heater cover instead of the newer one with the bulldog or the plastic ash tray handle instead of the diecast metal one. i dont like when Mack did away with the door hinge cover plates on a B model tho, just looks unfinished and when i redo one i usually put them on anyways even tho they werent there after around 1962

most were all the same, B's R's. F's , U's. some of the heavier R models has thicker springs, and different hangers. most of the 'slipper' springs have two rubber rollers front and rear and the two lower keeper leafs with a pin throught the front. almost all of the BLT models i have seen that same with aluminum rear spring hangers have been replaced with cast iron ones.

that B60 was one of the first trucks Matt Pfahl restored i believe. its the one that the Danbury Mint i believe or Franklin Mint modeled the little yellow and black B model dump truck with display off of. Matt was tellin me at Macungie how they came to his place and took a bunch of pictures of that truck and he welded tie downs in the bottom of the box to place the box after he painted it and told them not to put them in the diecast truck and you guessed it, they didnt listen.

Bob theimer had one in Bainbride ny that got sold at auction before he passed away. think it was the blue one Mike and was cut behind the cab?? i remember it, might even have a pic somewhere

depends on the spokes..... some B models had them, my B613 and Doug Fetterly's both have beige colored steering wheels originally.... the B model style has all 3 spokes that are round. the R model style has one round on the top of wheel and the other two spokes lets say 4 and 8 oclock are round on bottom and flater on top. the R model style is pretty much beige where the older B model style were either beige colored or really light beige and some had a carmel color

yea the B model wirin is not difficult at all. i redid my harness cause i couldnt afford one of those new ones from top of the hill trucks even tho they are really nice. i first cut out all the extra junk everyone added. then cut the cloth coverin and kept the wires bundled loosely where they were headed and bent with zip ties. and replaced all the bad wires one by one with the same guage wire. wasnt the original cloth covered wire but that can be bought to if you need to be original. i even added a few extra wires to run down to the headlight junction block for running and fog lights and extras if i need.

i do a little blastin myself with actually ones of those cheapo harbor freight blast pots. have about worn it out but for 100 bucks who cares. most of the time i have a sandblast guy do it tho. for the cost of buyin sand, my time and of coure a case of beer for my frustration it isnt worth it. had a guy b;ast my whole b model cab inside and out for $250 bucks. then cut the ends off my fuel tanks and had him blast them inside and out and the doors for another 200. was reasonable.

yup, first DM800 i have ever seen with a hood scoop. the scoop even looks bigger, maybe its just me. have seen a few RM800's with the scoop tho

yup, Matt Pfahl has one in Jane Anne. least the orignal one. he cut alot of the shutters out to put the ac condensor and air to air in i believe but it still looks stock.

my pet peeve is why the hell do we have to plow to bare pavement and waste billions of dollars in salt to rot our vehicles away so the road can be bare ass so some stupid fuck can drive 60 miles and hour down it. these assholes upstate act like unless the pavement is bare, they dont know how to drive. or someone bitchin the road is slippery while they are tryin to drive their dodge caravan that seems to be goverened at 40 miles an hour down the road with baby smooth bald tires..

good luck on those 11.00 20's. 10.00 and 11.00 20's have been extinct aorund my parts for around 10 years unless you want a china junk tire. makes me wonder when i see these old school ''Diamond Tread'' Goodyear front steer tube type tires on these new restored trucks. where the hell are they findin them?

its at Puluso's Truck Repair. think they are workin on it since Sears sold off everything in the hangers in the auction. those pictures make me wonder. the keys were in the truck and i could have swore it said T3 on the tag and the truck in the one pic says T4. could their be two????? i know they took that Vac tank off one of the Brockways cause in the Double Clutch write up you can see the tank on the Brockway. last i knew they were storin the ''hot'' stuff for the NYS dot for spreadin on the roads to rot our stuff away in the old oil tanks in Rome. someone is in their Albany terminal, dunno who, its on rt 144 down by the Airgas terminal
