  1. finally getting some snow here in Upstate Ny after all the media overreacting about the storm. might have to go do some plowin soon
  2. that would be sweet. would like to see it myself. are any of the old assembly line buildings still standing where the B's were made?
  3. dunno gonna bring my old B model back to Allentown for the first time since 1959.....ish althought i have had her back in Pa for a midnite redeye trip to save the Mopar mack haha
  4. right now id say he has a basketball team......
  5. makin reservations tonite, gonna drive from upstate ny early friday am, just dunno how many nights to stay haha. usually come home sat afternoon but if im driving my B model down this year might stay an extra night.
  6. god where to start. did they take the good cab off and put a junk one one? the whole back behind the driver it stoved in along with the headache rach benbt. weirdest lookin 350 i have ever seen. looks like a hurst t handle shifter handle welded on and check out the chrome gauge bezels. that really spruces it up, along with the blue overspray all over the firewall. and the lightweight hendrickson is a BETTER suspension that that 54,000lb camelback he posted? wtf is this guy smoking. love the kangeroo bar on the front bumper. looks like the whole truck is saggin a little in the front from that volvo front bumper bar. yuck
  7. must be a real bitch opening that Superdog hood,,, and kinda poor on traction with nothin on the back, unless they use a lowboy gooseneck on it..
  8. yea, did a lot for us, took our $1800 plus tax for the new fuel injection module or computer a year ago and took another $1936 plus tax today for 3 new injectors. 6.0 fords are nothin but a gutless piece of junk in my eyes.good thing the owner is a millionaire and a cheap old bastard and it doesnt come out of my pocket. i would have unloaded the junk 3 years ago. have a guy up the road that sells uses cars, has a low mile 06 ford 350 with utility box for 13 grand with a 6.0. been sittin on the lot all summer and still there. said he is thinkin bout takin it back to the auction to unload it. ours is the most gutless piece of shit i think i have ever driven next to a B42 Mack. the 7.3 will about smoke the tires off it with 250,000 miles on it. as for the storm i think they blew it out of proportion like always . cancelled all the schools around here LAST night, like today generation needs to get any dumber(sorry Vinny, your an exception) and we still have less than an inch on the ground. the was a train derailment about 30 min from me last nite with loaded tanker cars, think i could find it on any one of 20 stations? nope,. just the storm, or some reporter showin people buyin snowblowers and show shoverls? i just sit here wonderin '' you live in upstate Ny, dont you already have an 'F' ing shovel?? sorry for my rant lol
  9. yup, agree. single axle B61 with a quadbox weighs around 12,000, add the trunion and other axle its probably around 18, plus the box and that thing looks to have a lightweight cheap box on it so id say your def under 30,000. probably more around 24 or 25,000
  10. most of the older pogo sticks have holes drilled in the stick in two spots, one low and one higher to bolt the ''dummy couplers'' as they are called. some guys bolted them to the back of the cab on the two bolts or you could bolt it to the stick. mine i put the dummy couplers bolted back on the cab and put another set on the stick. i just coiled the lines and wrap them around the stick a few times and hook them up., couldnt find it in me to 'scar' the fresh paint on the couplers on the back of the cab lol
  11. yea, might be like tryin to back up 3 haywagons all hooked together behind a tractor.....
  12. yup, nothin like a 7.3 navistar engine. the 6.0 was a disgrace to ford and a money pit. had to put a new computer in it for the injection last summer, 1900 bucks, 3 new injectors now and something with the valve cover. another 1834 dollars.
  13. suppose to get 2-3 feet here in upstate ny. had to take the worktruck superduty 6.0 piece of shit to the dealer for three new injectors at 125,000 miles. good thing we have the old 99 ford with 7.3 and 250,000 miles on it for a backup. could always ge the 644 John Deere runnin if it gets too deep to plow i guess....
  14. pretty unique E or A model cab on that one with the cast radiator. must be a re cabbed BX Mike. i kinda like it.
  15. i have seen the tin intake manifold used on 673's, the tin one on 237 has the smaller inlet tube for the turbo. regular 673 tin one has a 4'' tube for direct to the air cleaner. looks like a 673c motor to me with the old style 711/673 manifold but as others have said things change. could be a 237 with the old water manifold or a endt673c with a spin on filter kit.
  16. yup, awesome. i have only seen the 2 -3 pics of it back in the day with the trailer on it makin the turn. didnt know it was a show truck
  17. 237 is a ''fuel pincher'', that was their trademark. they will fit right in where the 673 is without a problem at all. just have to use the 673 pulleys and crank hub. turbo placement is different to. the old 673's usually had a huge old switzer turbo and took up alot of room. the 237's had a smaller turbo so you might have to change the plumbling a little. other than that its an easy swap. you will have to make up mounts to put the 5 speed in it. the triplex will work fine also as long as you dont lug the hell out of it .the 673 turbo was not a 711. the early 711's did have head gasket problems but most were fixed with addin a turbo or the addition of fire rings and the Maxidyne head gaskets like mine has.
  18. never heard of it and been a Waylon fan for years and years. i seen a pic of ''Miss Jesse'' his B73 black Mack that i think someone bought but never heard of the H model. i suppose ole Waylon could have had money problems in the 80's as he had a bad nose candy problem but i think now a days he is worth more dead.
  19. looks like someone is runnin their mouth without even knowin whats posted on the very website he is bitchin about. VIP status? i dont even have that. why should we give out that priveledge who ruffles all our feathers? haha
  20. ''a little courtesey from your members would be appreciated....'' ha what a crock. the members on this site are come of the most courteous nicest people i have ever met. sorry we peed in someones wheaties for postin a picture for educational purposes and not for money purposes...
  21. never heard of any problem with them. Doug Fetterly has run one behind a 237 in his integral cab B61 for years. long as you keep your air tank clean and drained, i think youd be ok. kinda like a Roadranger
  22. the one on the right looks like they took a b model horse collar that holds the radiator and used it for a grille guard.
  23. one with the long hood is 4 wheel drive so the engine sat up higher on top of the axle and to miss the drive shaft.
  24. rare is an open word. Rare on the east coast? YES, rare out west, no. dont see many around either way tho. nice original truck tho and seems worth what he wants for it. must be everyone is broke, been listed 3 or 4 times
