  1. sure George wasnt headed to Cheyanne? heard he can still make it..... and who owns Miss Jessi??????? Waylon's trucks???????????/ one of my fav redneck singers of all time. the true Nashville rebel, not the shit they try to shove down your throat today. would have thought Waylon's Mack would have long been scrapped....
  2. just my opinion but i think that truck looks badass with the black painted tanks and the angled bumper. if anything id put on a set of floaters when i needed steer tires. just one of my fav looks for a Superdog, floaters on the front
  3. not Dennis... he loves this hobby for the trucks, not the money.... right? right? anyone?
  4. looked them over. wrecker is nice but crude. air cleaner not finished. kinda looks like a quickie paint job to sell it. no chrome back on it... still would get me in ALOT of trouble if i had a roadworthy wrecker
  5. looks exactly identical to the B61 my cousin and i took apart to make our two truck. he took cab and sheetmetal and i took motor and front axle. tripple frame was shot . rears were heavy 55's or 58's that i sold. so nothin went to waste. even same paint scheme and it came from CT. maybe same company? guy who owned it was meticulous. new doors, mirror brackets, rebuilt engines and trannys and rears, tires, whatever they needed. he ran B models into the late 80's early 90's and just kept fixin them til he couldnt anymore. the frames were junk. that truck might not be worth 11 but its damn close. a good cab can go for 2500-5000, rears another 500-2000, a double over quad in rebuilt condition a grand to 1800, power steering adds another 1500. chrome shell is a grand, decent fenders can go for 500-800. interior, tires, i bet your close to 10 grand. you could put a box on that thing, check the tires and brakes and run her. might be slow with no turbo but def useable.
  6. yup Dennis's truck. he sold that one to and believe it went overseas.
  7. just showed that to my fiance'. Suzanne wants to know if you even know what a beaver is Vinny....
  8. i dont think our furnace has shut off in two days. was 18 below zero here in upstate ny this am, didnt get above zero til noon and now its only 12 degrees.. ugh.
  9. Dennis Meehan (cough) ended up with a V8 Rs700lt and a v8 early superdog . both single axles, i remember he had them for sale tryin to turn a fast buck.
  10. i kinda like the old school lolipop style like i have. the Grote chrome ones.you can even get the ones with 2 wires for 2 filiments so you can hook the one to the parkin light terminal and have running lights
  11. wow, B755. never knew, kinda thought she was a cummins gal back in the day. thought she ran Lj's and B73's with Cummins in them. it looks sweet. think id even paint it the same color
  12. haha Larry my B model has the same problem. when i put it back together i put the big heater in it and took out the little one. when my buddy and i drove it from Ny to Somerset Pa it was averaging 15-20 degrees out. heater on high and your sweating, on low, your freezing. especially when its 2 am and your leanin against the pass window tryin to catch a few hours of sleep and the door seals are drafty. i cant imagin drivin one every day back in the day but i guess its what they had to do. and mine has a thermostat. my grandfather told me their original B61 was a 1960 and didnt have the thermostat housing. said unless you kept it wound up around 2 grand you never had heat in the winter. also said they had to put an old school alcohol vaporizer on it cause it never had trailer brakes in the winter. told me more than one story of cruisin thru the tollbooth on the New York thruway with that old B61 and not being able to stop. haha. just wave to the collecter and pass thru then have to walk back haha.
  13. not much. we had about 6 pair, ended up scrapin them years ago before EVERYONE started puttin them on their trucks.
  14. sweet. is that an Ex Mary Hitchings B73 in the background? looks like the one in the one Mack book
  15. guess every truck that i have seen in my 31 years is wrong. sorry i was just brought up that you NEVER put a red light facing front and NEVER put an amber light facing rear. just like RED marker lights are a No No in most states. its YOUR truck, do what you want. Macks look good anyways but if you have to look cool, get some of those purple or blue lenses the Paccar guys use
  16. signal lights on the front fender are suppose to be red twards the rear and amber twards the front,. been that way forever. never seen all amber on both faces and pretty sure some cop somewhere would have a problem with it. never liked the square signals period. just my opinion. dont even like the superliner signal lights.
  17. never quite seen a grille like that in an R model.
  18. yup, either way. doesnt matter. all covered up.the ripples are so the sheet metal doesnt '' oil can'' but with it bolted down to the cab foot it should be solid.
  19. im more suprised by the RARE green padded door panels
  20. i think Tidewater mack had 3 NOS B model cabs years ago when they were in the parts business. god could i only dream haha
  21. looks really worse than it really is. you can get a cheap bead roller from Harbor freight to kinda replicate the strenghing ripples that were there originalls. might not be exact but it will make it stronger and its covered up by a floor mat anyways. its really only flat patches to so not that bad. make a pattern, cut it out, weld it in little by little. Larry (Freightrain) did his years ago and came out nice.
  22. that Speed B model is sweet. looks like it came right out of the 60'swith the old school reflectors and signal lights. looks to be a B68 or B60 with just a thermodyne overhead gasser in it.
  23. thats sweet. make me want a big engine haha. looks like it had juice brakes to me from the vacumn line on the manifold.
