  1. id like to swap out my single rear in my R model for a set of tandem air ride top loadin Mack rears on 22'' daytons lol. thats a sweet R model. has the gauge cluster cause it has a taddletale in the dash. needs another stick tho haha
  2. Remember the Cecio trucks. Matt Pfahl did them i believe. looked them over for years. they were unloadin them at Springfield and the son was bitchin the old man out the whole time, dont do this, dont do that, dont scratch the truck dad. if i was his dad i would have beat him with a shovel. damn kid wouldnt have nothin if it wasnt for his old man. left a bad taste in my mouth.
  3. ditch the two extra bolts. the cab is made to have a little flex. i think id also grind those plates off that were welded over the front and see whats under there. thats just me tho, i hate to weld good steel over rotted out stuff. if you do leave them, id at least drill holes thru them and bolt them back down to the cab foot like the original was with 5/16 bolts. looks like they put the bolts back in on the one side and not the other.
  4. never seen any B models with those mounts on the side. they are made for a 4 point mount, two in front and two in back in center. looks like they may have been added and the floor is all cracked cause it has absolutely no flex. they made it soo solid.
  5. checkec out Cranesville's two bone yards today. both still have trucks intact but they are lookin like they are headin for the scrappers. took some pics ill put on later.
  6. was never a Superdog fan but they are growin on me and now i think i want one haha. i think outside air cleaners were just an option.never figured out why someone would want the air cleaner under the hood suckin in all that hot air except for the fact it might not be as dirty. i have a question tho. were steel or square fuel tanks ever an option on the Superdogs? never seen any with them but never know. most all seem to have round tanks.
  7. anyone else spot that ex Roadway R model in the background? dont see too many of those. for the thousands they had, they all must have ended up over there.
  8. this is probbaly the best place to advertise. Shephard boxes are better suited for tandem axle trucks tho. had one in my single axle and took it out. lots of oversteer, kinda like driving an old Ford truck with a worn out box. i got parts and manuals for mine within the last few years but im sure your right and there is no call and they wont be producing parts. the rear mounted generator is not as sought after as the rear mounted air compressor pump tho as it doesnt let you upgrade to an alternator. some trucks had either or. id start out about 1500
  9. looks to have daytons on the back in the one pic, budds in the other. could have been changed. diff bumpers. one has a weird almost early Autocar style running board. if its not the same truck, its deff a close second. looks like a BCR or glider kit to me
  10. mines with someone out of New Jersey or New York. something collectors insurance. Might be New York Collectors Insurance.think its around 150 a year. course it depends on what you put the value of your truck at. put mine at 20 grand i think.
  11. not much snow here. got three boat anchors we didnt even register. took mine out to pull a little wood on an old car hood from a tree we cut. thats about it. snow has gone to shit in the past few year. and yup, my Polaris is a 600 runnin about 120 horse. it will get out of hand and hurt you pretty quick if you dont respect it. especially after a few on trail adult beverages, gotta behave yourself. usually do a few snowmobile poker runs up here but even the past few years that sucks cause of lack of snow. was always an Arctic Cat guy myself. we had old Jag's, El Tigre's and Cheetahs and Panters. the Panteras were usually junk cause they were so heavy and had steel frames. switched to Polaris but still have 2 Cats, a ZR600 and ZL600. i have had a Bulldog sticker on my Polaris since i bought it in 02 brand new come to think of it btw .
  12. i remember going to the Macungie truck show and seein a bunch of silver Valueliners on the finished lot with RM's and steel nose R's. dont remember the year tho. had to be around 89 or 90
  13. looks like a KW bumper on it. was def a firetruck. even has a fishbelly frame judging from the pics
  14. damn that black truck is sweet. straight out of the 70's
  15. could be a mistype. definately not a heavy spec unless it has 44 rears. it has a light duty Fa505 front axle. looks like a B42 to me.
  16. eh, looks like a tough U model but for some reason the cow catcher plum fell off the bumper. can see it layin on the ground
  17. think the B422's had the 438,. kick myself for not savin a fresh rebuilt one from the scrappers. got the rear end and baby 18 speed quad but the engine went for junk. the B62's had 464's. dont think the 540's came out untill the 60's in the b68's. maybe a 438 or 464
  18. wow, didnt need to get that shoved down my throat. no books i have ever seen show a B52 or B522. sorry, guess your correct and im WRONG. happens. didnt think anything was in the 50's besides the original B50, the B53, B57. i stand corrected. what the hell engine would a 522 have ?
  19. Bob Theimer had one of those CH or BX whatever it is snubnose's in the last pic. think Gary Mahan ended up with it. im kinda liking the extended radiator B71 with the classic ''Riker'' muffler up high on the stack myself
  20. is that Cliff Sharpe's red F model? he is a V8 864 fanatic
  21. Mack never made a B52 at all.. B53 yes
  22. might make a trip that way this week. its only 20 min away. i was there a month or so ago and the yard was still full. complete with DM800's and the Brockway
  23. she is sweet. buy it, leave it original patina and run it
  24. actually a few years ago when we had ''Mudfest at Macungie'' that wrecker would have been handy. think that was the ONE year i decided to wear sneakers instead of my work boots
  25. use to see the R Zoppo truck at the Vermont green mountain bull dawg show years ago. she was sweet. think every single bolt was stainless
