  1. guess it was a left over lot rat if it was bought new in 69 and was a 61 haha. id like to buy a new 1961 in 2013. anyone know of any?
  2. she'd have lopsided boobs then tho......
  3. Rudy(Mackmb212) wanted one in the worst way haha
  4. i think that must be a B21 or something with a big motor, has the extended radiator shell...
  5. or rip the belt loop off your favorite pair of pants and piss you off haha. that usually happens to me in B models. every pair of pants i have is missin the belt loop on the right side from catchin the door striker gettin in an old B model. too quick to get in and not made for fat guys haha. id say the correct position is down, vertical. i have seen B models originally that were horizontal and some that were vertical but in either case it should be down or open to the bottom or back of the cab. most R models with the padded doors have the cropped handles anyways so they dont bite in.
  6. wow is that a solid old Barn find E model. sweet. looks like it has a Garwood box on it. i dont think id even paint that think. keep it rat rodish
  7. my B613 has two NOS rockers installed, but that was 20 years ago. could still buy them back then brand new
  8. that Valueliner glider kit looks like half GMC. even has a GM bumper on it
  9. yup, door handles upside down lol. i hate that.
  10. a smart person would drive around to the other side of the trackas i think there is a crossin nearby, THEN you wouldnt have to trudge thru the snow or walk across them.... think those tracks are long defunk anyways but ya never know...
  11. yup, Sterling also. wow, lots of nice stuff was in that Yaworski Collection. i knew they had stuff, just not that much, the B813 with the V8 looks like it has super singles on the back? and the B615 is sweet.probably all long gone
  12. dont have any Vinster. was 8-10 years ago. i remember the R700 had a Road Oiler in it tho and so did the GM's with straight pipes. must have been fun to use as yard trucks with a Detroit with straight pipes and no doors on the cab or windshields.
  13. 900 20 would be a 10 22.5 . most fire trucks ran 9.00's. they are Safetly Lock rims or 3 piece rims , Not split rims btw. split rims are old school and can be dangerous. Safety lock rims arent as bad as long as they are clean and not rusty and you DONT mix rings with different rims.
  14. have seen a few A models repowered, theres a real nice red tandem axle one out there thats been repowered, think it has a 237 Mack in it which would be like shoehorning it it. basically the same truck as an E
  15. yup, watch Cheers sometimes and Raymond and King of Queens and sometimes catch Simon and Simon on the retro stations. we got rid of the home phone a few months ago and upgraded cable cause i wanted the Velocity channel, still 2000 channels of junk but at least there is usually something to watch other than the garbage they throw down your throat. bout sick of Pickers and the pawn starts and storage units. i manage 40 storage Units, can tell you first hand that shit never happens. all i get left with is a few bald tires, an old chair and some Walmart pressed together junk furniture and an old mattress. of could you need an act of congress to after THEY dont pay you for month of using your unit to get them out. post names in paper for public knowledge, Certified letters.... sometimes more of a pain than its worth.
  16. location ? Behind the old C Weaver Chevrolet garage on 5A in New Hartford NY. busted haha. there use to be an R700 there and a few DM or U models, yes Vinny, U models, no doors or windshields. they were strictly yard horses , rotted and beat to hell. use to be a few GM Brigidiers there to.
  17. pretty sure the orange one had last of the liter or something on the hood at Springfield. your probably right tho.
  18. watch the Grown Ups movie tonite with Adam Sandler cause with 2000 channels, these still wasnt much on. really sweet restored B model fire truck at the end. anyone have info on whos it is?
  19. Yaworski had the End of the Line Superdog. he had it at Macungie when he first bought it. it is the same truck, its Gary Mahan's orange one. he repainted it, believe it had a little over 100,000 on the clock. the way i heard it it was a business deal like what was said and Gary ended up with a bunch of Yaworski's trucks for money owed.
  20. i didnt say there was a DIFFERENT color. i said it was probably in 55 gallon drums. obviously the first cab painted out of the drums was not the same shade as the last. we have 4 of my grandfather original B models, from pre 60, they are all metallic. the ones we have after that are a solid color. just statin what i have seen.
  21. i know, makes me wish i bought a pallett of them when Bob was in business. i could retire and work on Macks ALL day
  22. been wanting one of those buddy l rock trucks myself but they go for crazy money on ebay.
  23. i like the older Watts shirt, black with the red B and R on the back. one of my fav shirts but not for sale anymore. the ghost ones show up on ebay sometimes. kinda got paint on my ghost b shirt one day. been lookin for a replacement myself
  24. and dual CB antennas on that MIlburn truck, all the creature comforts friend....
  25. no doubt. they were going out just as i was starting to work and have cash. i was just a young kid with big B models dreams back then and not much cash. not much has changed haha
