  1. did you get the serial number off that Other dog???? was there anymore U models at the show? ha, couldnt resist
  2. looks like a fairly common Fontaine wheel 60's vintage. i looked high and low for one for my B model a few years ago. scrap went thru the roof and i was searchin for a Fruehaif cast wheel or a fontaine. finally bought two off John , the guy with the sidewinder LMSW in Nj for $200 for both.
  3. i think those PBR s might taste like piss after co mingling in that cooler with those skanky beers haha
  4. PBR, a man with my own heart. had about 15 of those last night, was a little rough today. PBR has been getting poplular here in upstate ny over the past year, some bars even have it draft. as for Bud light. anything made by anheiser busch is pretty much mass produced crap in my eyes, cant stomach it and one budweiser will give me a headache. prefer the darker pale ales myself or any dark beer for that matter.
  5. seems we always take a week vacation in sarasota fla at the end of juky for the past 3-4 years, thats when my fiance's daughters b day is and she lives down there.i swear all those people in fla do is ride around in boats and cars with ac and drink. pretty cool watchin them pave the roads at night when its cooler tho. spot a few old Macks down there still runnin. aint gotta tell me anything about the heat. it was 95 here in upstate ny yesterday. only thing good is theres no grass to mow. bad if your in the lawn care business tho.
  6. hmmmph, i was told not to show up Mr Vinny........
  7. we have a 1961 B42 and the frame and truck is red.course it could have been a leftover to, have seen a few 1962's that had green frames original to but could have been special ordered to i guess. around this time they started paintin the diamond plate treadle valve pedal gray instead of black and the crossmembers were no longer welded on top with the little oval left on top to trap dirt.bout this time they started havin the standard Delbar mirror brackets from the factory also. just small things ive noticed.
  8. green sheet metal, red drivetrain. i hated when Mack switched over around 1962 or 1963 and started painting the frames black to be simple.
  9. shooter is badass but he is nothin like his old man. sorry but Waylon was one of the best country.rebel country singers there ever was. even better than johnny cash in my opinion.
  10. god i thought this was gonna open up with ''i was awolken by a warm wet tongue upon my...................''
  11. B39 muat be pretty rare considerin they never made one haha. love the brown western steering wheel in that RL600
  12. i would probably even ditch the tripple frame and just put the B81 sheetmetal on a modern drivetrain. never see any square fendered B81 with air ride suspension
  13. 864 V8. parts are obsolete pretty much. would love to take a B81 and put a modern V8 Mack in it with a 12 speed and air ride. that would be sweet
  14. whatcha buy Mack MHE9?
  15. when i put my B613T together, we changed the S cams, backin plates and brake shoes over to the new style. the backin plates will bolt right up the axle housin and you will be happier with parts availability. think i scavenged the backin plates and s cams with the big C clip for the slack adjusters off a 1980 U model, YES Vinny my B model has a U model ring and pinion and backin plates and S cams.
  16. the quick release valve i bought has a 4th port on the back side where you T into the original quick release valve and run an air line from the service brakes to the port. dont really get it but thats how the diagram is and it works.
  17. ok a V8 thread without a V8 engine picture???
  18. i know that trucks photo is in one or two Mack books and was also in a book called trucks from the 50's or 60's
  19. yup, i agree. this is the way i plumbed mine up. only difference is i used a quick release valve with a check valve in it so if you have you foot hard on the brake pedal, i dont think the spring brakes will apply. least this is the way the guy at the counter explained it.
  20. both of those cabs at Macungie were pretty rough. cobbed up pretty good, metal work was not finished that well and neither was the bondo work, then they primered over everything, headliner, firewall mat. looked like a rush job to make a few bucks to me. better than no cab i guess but they needed alot of finesse
  21. yup i remember someone tellin me Schwerman truckin had roadrangers in their B models. there was also an original B model with a Roadranger at the Springfield show. think it was owned by Frank M...... something? the movin guy who had a bunch of White cabover 3000 series truck in NYC?
  22. most likely a 711 in it if it has the big radiator. alot of B67 seemed to have the 711 in them and regular b models with the 711 and 673T had the longer radiator that goes all the way to the bottom of the horse collar and is formed around the bottom radiator bolts and the top tank is angled to fit tight in the horse collar on top for more fluid. stanrard B61's had the smaller tanks on top and bottom . so it seems logical for it to have a 711 if they put the B75 (Kentucky radiator) as we call them here up north haha
  23. she probably has it set on vibrate and has her unemployed boyfriend that we pay for call her all day ...
  24. looks like a St Johnsbury truck or Carolina Freight, it has their signature real long fuel tank on it. only seen that tank on their trucks.
