nope, just found the pic online. might have been from the aths site. I know there was a milk hauler down near kingston Ny that had a bunch of B61's with the B75 series radiators that they ordered this way.i was told they did this so they could put more ass under the hood if they had to in the future. they were runnin 711's with triplexs in them. I have seen na B61 with the B75 radiator and a B615 with it but never seen one with the cast B80 series radiator.

anyone know the story on this radiator? not even an aluminum retrofit from a B75. its def cast iron with the emblem off a B80.

the original Angry Bird had an ETAZ673 tip turbine engine in it i believe which would be a 300+ with a 10 speed roadranger.

Mike Harbinson would know. i know we have talked about this before but i thought they were all dodge runnin gear. was still probably a B model frame tho.

a lot of B models had one extra leaf in the passenger side to take car of the crown in the road. i guess if we were across the pond, they would have an extra one in the left side? haha

thats a sweet lookin U model. even if im not a huge fan, its still a mack. looks solid. the few times i have been thru alabama and ga and fla i never seemed to spot any old macks down that way. only one i found was an old solid F model. was at the BigCatHabitat in Sarasota if anyone is interested. the cat thing was featured on american pickers actually a few weeks after we went there.

yea they ran chrysler engines back then. think maybe they ordered the B's like that so the parts were common with everything else they were running? they were built on a totally dodge chassis i believe. my B613T had a max wedge 413 industrial sinfully placed under the hood when we got it. its still in the garage on the engine stand. brand new with about 200 miles on it. Keith, the one with the nice green R410P got the 5 and 3 speed tranny from it a few years back. Matt

yup, i agree Paul, the ones i have seen were more the Mint green color like the 65-72 R models. then of course Mack did use that nasty dark flat green color on some r models Back then.

there were some old aftermarket universal ones that were really rounded, more so than that of the stainless ones Barry sells. they were steel, heavy and the pipes were open in the back to let the doors rot lol. i have a few sets of those actually. they liked to rust. they were straight on top and about half round in the front and went quite a ways down the door. the bars were also welded together at the triangle.

looks like the bars need s alittle straightening on the one thats apart then. the front bar should come out almost at a 90 degree to the door.

the one we have s a TRQ770 i believe is an 18 speed the other is a TRQ7720 or something which is a 14 speed. these are both the small quads like found in the B42. i never knew they made many 67 series transmisions besies the 9 and 10 speeds actually. i have a B57 or B52 single axle that i think someone shortened with that shifting plate i believe and it was a 5 and 3 but was considered a 10 speed.

looks like you have a set of Retrac (Chevron) mirror bracket. mack never installed mirrors standard til after around 1961. after that they had the standard bracket from Delbar installed. it came in either chrome or stainless or usually Black. this is the same bracket set Watts still sells.looks like the one in your top left picture thats still together is an original 1961 and newer B model bracket. the other one you have in parts looks like a mix and match of parts. the front bar on the triangle should come out almost at a 90 degree angle from the door. the one thats all apart in your pic definately doesnt looks like Mack or delbar and if it is someone has bent it wrong. some B models also had a steel bracket that was rounded and went a little ways down the front of the door. these were from the 50's but were also aftermarket. msot B models from the 50's has generic universal brackets on them. some early ones even had the little Bicycle mirrors on the cowl on a pod with the bolts in the bracket as west cost mirrors werent common til the 60's. most mirrors on B model before then were usually installed at the dealer or by the owner and were universal. looks like an early one. never seen a triplex or quad box with the auxillary on the right except in the smaller TRQ77 series in B42's. i guess if you were in australia it would be ok?

seen the small version in a B42. recently came across a B81 carcass that had a 14 speed suad box shifting plate and the quad box was laying there.

theres the virgin B613LT. top left pic in that last set of pictures. the green one all faded right next to the brownish superdog.

anyone notice the B87 that was next to that big B81 Wrecker? it had a triple frame and looks like someone like Pg Adams made all new frame rails and crossmembers for it. frame was straight as an arrow and had all new rails. also think it has a newer set of 65000 rears in it.

that greenish L cab is a B75 or B73. def has b model frame rails, crossmembers and battery boxes.

would love to have that B73 myself. wonder if the hood is there for it. they are about impossible to find.

always pisses me off to see a B75 or B73 or LTL all done up and thy go and put a damn Paccar bumper on it! ugh!

i noticed your G model saturday Mike when it was pouring out,my brother went to roll the driver window up for you and realized there wasnt much there haha. it was parked by the main gate then.

Yup, noticed that R model with low miles! wonder why they never used it? the Green and Red single axle B model with the factory roadranger was about 5 trucks down from that R model . believe it was Frank Maltesta's. was pretty sweet. looked like it was tagged at one time and they cut it off and made it a single axle. was also a double frame single axle with the serial number B61T. must have been pretty rare to have a doubleframe single axle tractor? i have seen single axle B61 and B42X's with double frames but never a T. any info Mike? did u see the B with the roadranger? i crawled right under it and saw it had motor mounts that bolted to the four bolts on the engine bell housin and frame mounts that mounted to the front spring hanger where a B42 would.Also never realized there were so many B80 series trucks still alive. put Macungie to shame, must have been at least 35 or 40 B80 series Macks at the show. Also did everyone check out the Last Superdog? now owned by Gary Mahan , use to be Yawarski's. now its painted orange and looks sweet. was a lot of Superdogs at the show also.
