  1. agree 4- 6000 range. it runs, drives and stops.
  2. Must be she's hiding in storage? I remember that truck at Rutland years ago, was a nice piece.
  3. i thought we discussed it here where it was in storage for years and came out with 5 hole bias ply tires on it . whats on it now? chrome steelies??
  4. few that come to mind are the Frotton truck I pictured above, a yellow B81 single axle R Zoppo on the door, use to be at alot of Vermont shows, a few from Macungie are EE Wright E models and a few B models, one thyat use to say B-ing Around on the cow catcher..
  5. just think this would be a good topic. trucks that don't seem to be around anymore....
  6. still think they had the 61 and 61LT labeled wrong. I think the lt had the aluminum tanks. doesn't matter, looks like same guy bought both and the bare metal truck looks better than the Earl Shieb green one...
  7. didn't the originals have holes and brass looking zip ties holding them together Kscrabel? been so long since I seen a B with the actual boots on. I know for a new truck its an instant DOT violation to not have boots on the draglink
  8. pic?
  9. ouch....Heavy Duty rate around here is around $350-400 an hour, no mileage, flat rate
  10. whats cheap? shipping to Ny would be a bitch and I know a certain Freightrain guy lookin for that front axle.....
  11. looks like the Mack is rolling on Budds. cab looks solid as can be. she is an early one with the wiper motor under the dash, air horns on a pedestal and the 50's style heavy duty wrap around mirror brackets. always make me wonder why people take stuff apart... if you don't have the time or money to fix it, why take the front clip and motor all apart?
  12. at some point in the 80's or 90's they came out with 'New Mack Red' Kscarbel can chime in. I know this color isn't even close and it way darker
  13. anyone have the actual code? as I'm sure the Mack number is worthless now a days with Volvo in the picture. Mack had about three different reds
  14. one of my favorite trucks ever. wasn't this a Midwest truck and made its way to the east coast? think I read somewhere they changed the tires over to radials? I know it has been to Balston Spa ny truck show before
  15. Truck stop, we need pics of that Square Body that's haulin that boat. got a soft spot for them
  16. I like the B's, they have them mislabeled I think tho. obviously the B61LT has the aluminum fuel tanks and not the other. I wish I was closer, I'd buy them both.
  17. looks like Ernie Holmes was at the show in abundance....
  18. I have drilled straight thru the center of the rivet after you grind the head off. drillin a 1/4 hole thru the center sometimes relieves the pressure then heat around the outside with a torch to expand and get a BFH out
  19. god is that red R model sexy........hahahaha
  20. more than likely its a 507 or 508 or the like rear and they all used the same hubs, some had different bearings. might end up swapping out your races.
  21. as soon as a I saw the title, I knew exactly what truck you were gonna post Jim. got a soft spot for that one with the hood scoop and the exhaust unloader
  22. ugh, god I gotta find me one of those in the worst way Al. need me a vintage lowboy, only problem is, that means more junk.....
  23. I dont think the 413 was never put in a b model from the factory. maybe retrofitted at a dealer. I had a military firetruck with a 354 Chrysler hemi. also had a B model with the 413 with it was a retrofit.
  24. pretty sure the B47's also had the end465 thermodyne in in them. seen one at auction about ten years ago with a baby quad 77 series behind it and dual 55 gallon round fuel tanks. kick myself til this day for not buyin it
  25. all the way back is usually the 'lock' position. most b models use to stay back when you pulled the handle back. after years of abuse they wear out. or maybe he lives in a less desireable neighborhood
