  2. I want the Mack one to. what vintage is that??
  3. doesn't matter, single axle 80's series are few and far between, nice save
  4. looks like a b42
  5. ???????????????? why would you be using a series parallel switch with 12 volt???? ditch it, run some cables direct from batteries and be done
  6. yup B65's were a rare bird that you rarely come across. Red Star Express had a bunch of B65T's out of their Utica Ny terminal
  7. buy them all. the thing about the gas job B models is they weren't beat as bad as say a B61T. you were lucky to get a 100,000 miles out of the flathead and some overhead valve engines. a 673 on the other hand minus head gasket issues could get you a million so in turn a lot of the sheet metal was worn out and fatigued.
  8. agree most log loader R and Dm's ive we missin hoods, fenders, doors mirrors, windshields....
  9. contour cab back was available on B61's and B42's as well
  10. wish I had the cash. what a honey. if it was about 800 miles closer I might find a way. twin stick western R with that perfect bumper and a lowboy
  11. yup, def not restored, painted nice but not restored. frame is a little hacked and has non mack springs by the looks of it and possibly rear end. price is about twice what I see there
  12. definitely has a Ryder fuel tank on it. we had an ex Ryder R600 at work with the same ugly fuel tanks
  13. B67 Carolina Freight cab on craigslist, I think Ashville . im sure someone here can to post the link quicker than I can
  14. <-----flip phone user, don't have to worry about uploading pictures as my phone doesn't take good enough ones to post......
  15. Love the Resale Red overspray all over everything.
  16. Larry, we just got a new KW rollback at work, the smaller modeI T270. It has low pro 22.5 and air brakes with a small Cummins in it. Anyways, this has a smaller looking tank. I think it would look good on a B model.
  17. cab is versitle......the hole is for smaller gas job B models with a push button starter in that hole. the hole was there for the button so you could actually give it a little throttle while pushing the button with your toe....
  18. been hoping for a white one myself. hard to come by. have a perfect black one that might end up being white
  19. looks like a standard Eaton double disk clutch to me. don't know whats around you but here in upstate Ny we have a place called Heavy Duty Parts. they are nationwide. that's where we get most of out clutches and transmissions rebuilt for work.
  20. hit or miss. jones seems to be the better one. we put on on our T800 Kw at work and it fits better than the original KW one. we have also taken some brand new Freightliner and Volvo hoods out of the box and they fit horrible
  21. do it while your there. hell of a lot easier now than workin between two frame rails. then paint it all up pretty and change whatever hoses need to be changed now. like I said a lot easier when you can walk around it rather than between the frame or workin over the fenders or tires. I myself would probably make a stand for the other engine and stick it in the corner of the shop, it doesn't eat anything.
  22. the pinned shoes with the c clips and the felts? I changed my B over from that. found a U model with a cracked housing and took the spider backin plates, brake can mounts and S cams. reused my old slack adjusters. had to buy more shims for the slack and make one spacer for the s cam tube mount but yours might be a direct fit if you can find a modern set of spiders. this lets you use a modern shoe. mine also had 6 inch lining and I put on 7
  23. Mack painted everything in sight, red oxide primer, assembled axles, hangers, springs, wiring and plumbing then paint. the original B Models I think even the steering column was in the frame when it was painted. Mack also brush painted the clutch pedal where it came thru the floor black instead of frame color. I have seen more than a few 'Monday and friday' trucks where this was forgot to be done. guess like others said all depends what your striving for. I like the monochromatic look but also like the contrast of wiring and plumbing being set apart. Mack also painting all the little god awful phillips fine thread bolts they use to use to hold all the wiring clips up to in the frame. when I did mine I used stainless bolts, washers and ran the wiring after paint. just seemed more clean. also gotta remember they didn't expect most of these trucks to be around 50 or 100 years later. they were thinkin more along henry fords 'production' idea.
  24. hinge cover plates weren't used after 1961. Mack used flange head bolts instead of the star washers on the hinge bolts for a cleaner look
  25. yup, agree, that Superdog has regular 24 inch rubber, not 12 24.5's. I have seen a few guys put 12 24.5's on the front of a B model to give it the ''floater look' to
